Kim Kardashian-West Cancels Baby Shower To Remain With Sister Khloe And Lamar Odom

Kim Kardashian-West has opted to cancel her weekend baby shower in order to support sister Khloe Kardashian while they stay by the side of Khloe’s estranged husband, Lamar Odom. Kim and Kris arrived with numerous bodyguards.

E! Online is reporting that their Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was supposed to be enjoying a “Troop Beverly Hills”-themed baby shower with friends and family this coming weekend. Kardashian is seven months pregnant with her second child, a boy. Kim and husband Kanye West already have a daughter, North, 2.

Kim Kardashian flew to Las Vegas with Khloe as soon as they heard Odom was hospitalized. The 35-year-old former NBA star overdosed on multiple drugs and is now in a coma, according to doctors. Odom was staying at the Love Ranch Vegas in Pahrump, Nevada, a legal brothel, in the owner’s personal suite (inside a trailer), when the two women he was spending time with found him unconscious. Eventually, he wound up at the Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas. Sources told E! Online that Odom had “virtually every drug imaginable” in his system.

Kim and mother Kris Jenner, 59, stayed late at the hospital and then returned again on Wednesday, both looking very upset. Khloe Kardashian, 31, reportedly hasn’t left Lamar’s side. He’s suffered multiple strokes, according to sources that talked to TMZ. In addition, his organs are failing and he’s on life support. Khloe paid for Odom’s two teenage children and their mom, plus his father, Joe, to fly to Vegas.

Kim Kardashian’s baby shower was supposed to take place at the home of Allison Azoff, ironically the same estate where Khloe and Lamar married in 2009. The couple married soon after meeting, and later starred in a spin-off of Keeping Up with the Kardashians called Khloe and Lamar. The show started filming in January, 2011, and lasted for two seasons with fantastic ratings.

On a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim was upset with Khloe for flirting on the phone with Lamar. The show just ended its 10th season this past Sunday, and Kim made it clear what she thought about Khloe’s behavior in the interview segment.

“As a big sister, I’m very protective, and for him to be flirting with her on the phone makes me sick to my stomach.”

As recently as April, she expressed her feelings for Lamar, saying she would always love him. In the episode, Kim asked if it were ex-boyfriend, French Montana, calling her, how would she explain putting Lamar in the same category as him? Speaking in third person, she replied.

“Sorry, French; you’re not even close to the bond Khloe had with Lamar!”

After hearing how Khloe Kardashian feels, it’s no surprise to discover the couple is still legally married. The brothel owner told the Daily Mail that Lamar was upset after he got a phone call on Sunday during the trip to Nevada from his home in LA. TMZ reports that he was upset about Khloe and how he was portrayed on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. That report says he was already there when he got upset.

Kim hasn’t posted anything on social media or made any comments via her Kim Kardashian West Official App. Her mom, Kendall Jenner, brother, Rob, and various stars have made supportive comments online. Of course, no one expects to hear from the family at such a difficult time.

Kim Kardashian-West, 34, hasn’t seemed to slow down during her pregnancy. While they don’t mention what she’d been up to, People magazine says Kim and Kris Jenner “dropped everything” to be with Khloe and Lamar during this tragic time. Kim is very close to her family, and she is always with them. When Kim first arrived in Las Vegas on Tuesday, sister Kourtney Kardashian watched over North and took her to her regular ballet class along with her own daughter, Penelope.

Kourtney Kardashian, 36, arrived in Vegas on Wednesday despite her own family drama. The father of her three children and ex-partner of 9 years, Scott Disick, is said to have entered rehab in Malibu, California. The couple recently split and Disick has been spotted with a few different women, including an ex-girlfriend and an 18-year-old model.

Also seen on the recent KUWTK, an angry Kris read an article to Kourtney about Disick cheating. Once Kourtney and Kim are alone, Kourtney broke down, sobbing about the pain she was in while Kim consoled her. Hopefully, Scott’s trip to rehab will be influenced by Lamar Odom’s tragedy.
