Huntington Beach High School Fight: Student That Decked Bully For Beating Blind Boy Being Hailed A Hero [Video]

Huntington Beach, California, is known as Surf City but can also be a tough city and a place where, if you mess with the wrong person, could quickly lead to punches being thrown your way.

Such was the case Wednesday afternoon at Huntington Beach High School when an apparent bully was inexplicably teeing off on a fellow Huntington Beach High School student that is reportedly blind, punching the blind student hard in the face several times, as seen in the video below, before sweet comeuppance arrives in the form of the blind boy’s friend.

Though the connection of the punch to the bully’s face and/or head takes place off screen, the result is very clear as the bully goes down to the pavement hard, the friend of the blind boy following to make sure the bully posed no more threat, before asking the blind boy if he was okay.

An alleged bully at Huntington Beach High School finds himself on the ground after hitting a visually impaired student and then getting hit himself by another student that intervened.

“You okay Austin?” the Huntington Beach High School Student that decked the bully asks the blind student.

“I’m (inaudible) good Cody!” says the blind student.

“All right, come here,” says the student that decked the bully, apparently named Cody.

A CBS Los Angeles report confirms the student that stepped in and stuck up for the blind boy is named Cody, who confirmed to the bully as the wild video concludes, “I swear to God dude, if you ever f**king f**k with this kid again I’m going to f**k you up.”

The Wednesday afternoon Huntington Beach High School fight, and attack on the blind boy, has resulted in both school and police investigations Thursday, using the Huntington Beach High School fight video and student accounts to try to get to the bottom of what exactly led to the brawling.

Video footage of the Huntington Beach High School fight, and the blind student being attacked, is also attracting a lot of social media attention as the brutal footage of a bully apparently being stopped in his tracks makes its rounds on YouTube, Facebook, and in the news.

The Huntington Beach High School fight video has reportedly received “hundreds of thousands” of views and news vans lined the streets around Huntington Beach High School, and the Huntington Beach Police Department, which is across the street, well into Thursday afternoon.

KCAL9 News caught up with some Huntington Beach High School students that had witnessed the bully assault followed by the bully having the tables turned on him.

According to those students, the visually impaired student was “attacked for no reason” and as the video seems to show, was just holding his arms up in an effort to avoid being hit by the bully.

Huntington Beach High School fight witness, Grant Morel, saw the brutal scene unfold, also noting that the student that stepped in to stick up for the blind student is his step-brother, Cody.

“I saw like a half circle around a group of kids and I wanted to see what was up. And I see this kid like getting wailed on by another kid. And I got kinda mad and ran over there and I was going to go break it up, but then my step-brother Cody like pushed me inside.”

The student that dropped the alleged bully is reportedly a junior at Huntington Beach High School and is being hailed as a hero by his fellow students and many who have seen the Huntington Beach High School fight video online.

Another student, Maya Jensen, said she appreciated someone stepping up to protect the visually impaired student who is a reportedly a friend of hers.

“A lot of people are calling him a hero,” said Jensen, “And I would as well. For stepping in when no one else did and decide to just film it instead.”

Huntington Beach High School officials are reportedly working to determine what actions will be taken for the three primary students involved in the tussle.

In the meantime, bullies should note how quickly the tables can turn.
