Kylie Jenner: ‘Celebrity Of The Future,’ More Influential Than ‘Vogue’?

There’s no doubt that Kylie Jenner has been taking the fashion and beauty worlds by storm, in her own right. The reality star is nothing like her older sister Kendall Jenner who’s a fashion model. But there’s no doubt that Kylie has an influence on what’s hot and trendy, especially when it comes to her young and impressionable fans.

In fact, Kylie Jenner could proven to be more influential or “powerful” than the pages of Vogue magazine. Take the teen’s $1,475 blue and black plaid shirtdress from Houghton. The Jenner teen was photographed wearing the dress outside her sister Kim Kardashian’s book signing in West Hollywood on August 6. Of course, Jenner’s fans had to know where she bought, but the original design was discontinued and no longer available on the internet.

Houghton designer Katharine Polk had a better idea. She knew that Kylie’s fans are not able to spend over one grand for a dress, so she made a less expensive version in the same print. Polk sold only 25 copies of a similar version of Kylie’s dress for $450. “Within a week, the dress was sold out,” according to the report via Cosmpolitan.

Being as influential as the fashion bible could come as good news for the popular Jenner teen, since she’s killing to score her very own cover on American Vogue. Jenner has already graced Canada’s Elle magazine, but now she’s setting her sights higher. An insider told the Hollywood Life that Kylie Jenner would do anything to be on the cover of Vogue, just like her sister Kim K.

“Being on the cover of American Vogue would be an absolute dream for Kylie. She says she would dedicate the cover to all her fans who have been hurt by haters and bullies!”

Kylie Jenner is only 18, but she’s set on making her mark in the pop culture world. The teen’s new app was the eighth-highest-grossing app on Tuesday, September 22. Jenner’s app is expected to make as much as $400,567 in its first week alone, according to Boston-based app measuring firm Apptopia. However, the app offered a free trial for the first week, which means that users may not stick around to pay the $2.99 per month subscription fee.

Whether you like it or not, it’s clear that Kylie is the “Celebrity of the Future,” according to a previous report via Wired. She’s more than just a beauty blogger and Instagram model these days. Kylie is also a budding entrepreneur and social media star.

The world’s famous teenager told contributor Julia Greenberg who she believes are the people willing to pay the monthly fee for her app. Jenner pauses and quietly says, “Probably the people who love me and want to see more about me.”

According to the writer, Kylie Jenner has brains and she is a “businesswoman.” And those traits are enough to crown her as the “Celebrity of the Future.”
