Amy Poehler, Nick Kroll Split: Report Blames Busy Work Schedules

Actress Amy Poehler and actor Nick Kroll have reportedly gone their separate ways.

Us Weekly reports that, according to an inside source, Poehler and Kroll ended their two-year relationship due to their busy work schedules, which kept them apart from each other.

“Unfortunately, they just couldn’t make the relationship work with their schedules. They really tried, but it just wasn’t realistic anymore. They were spending more time apart than together.”

According to the report, upcoming projects continuously came between Nick Kroll and Amy Poehler over time.

The celebrity couple was spotted on a date back in March, according to the Daily Mail, heading for a delicious Italian dinner at Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles.

However, Amy Poehler attended the Emmy Awards Sunday night with Brooke Posch, her friend and business partner instead of her longtime boyfriend.

In her award-winning 2014 memoir Yes Please, according to the Guardian, Amy Poehler opened up about her relationship with Nick Kroll.

“I have a boyfriend who knows how to settle me. He puts his hand on my chest and tells me boring stories. On one of our first nights together, I woke up apologizing for my snoring and he pulled out two earplugs he had worn to bed so he could hear what I was saying. It was one of the most romantic gestures I have ever seen.”

Within the pages of her memoir, Amy Poehler also spoke about divorce, illustrating the overall process by comparing it to tossing a blanket covered with sentimental things.

“Imagine spreading everything you care about on a blanket and then tossing the whole thing up in the air. The process of divorce is about loading up that blanket, throwing it up, watching it all spin, and worrying what stuff will break when it lands.”

Amy Poehler divorced her longtime husband and frequent on-screen collaborator, Will Arnett, back in 2012 after nearly 10 years of marriage.

However, she made sure that she did not run Will’s name in the dirt when writing her memoir. On the contrary, the former Parks and Recreation star had nothing but good things to say about the father of her two children.

“I am proud of how my ex-husband, Will, and I have been taking care of our children. I am beyond grateful he is their father; and I don’t think a ten-year marriage constitutes failure.”

Amy Poehler started dating Nick Kroll months after her split from Arnett. Their new relationship was confirmed in May 2013, and Arnett officially filed for divorce in April 2014, according to Us Weekly.
