Norman Reedus: Win A Date With The ‘Walking Dead’ Star
Norman Reedus, one of the stars of AMC’s hit show, The Walking Dead, is holding a contest to take one lucky fan out for a lunch date on October 9. The winner will also be flown to New York City, put in a 4-star hotel, watch the season 6 premiere before it airs at Madison Square Garden, and even attend New York’s Comic Con. While the lunch date entree has not yet been announced, we are assuming it is slightly more appetizing than the usual squirrels and other creatures that Daryl Dixon feasts on in the show. Reedus first took to his Twitter account on August 25 to announce the contest.

Just like his character Daryl Dixon on the show, Reedus clearly feels it is important to help others. As discussed on the official contest page at Omaze, the goal is to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. If you are unaware of what this organization does, they literally make the dreams come true for children suffering from life-threatening illnesses. As you can see on the contest page, a child’s skydiving dream was fulfilled because of donations to the foundation. Even if your wish of having lunch with Reedus is not fulfilled, you will still have a chance to put a smile on the face of a sick child.
The minimum donation to enter the contest is $10. This is the base level donation and gives you 100 chances to win the lunch date with Reedus and trip to New York City. You also have the option to provide higher donations for more chances to win and other prizes. A $25 donation will get you 250 chances to win and a digital thank you card from Norman Reedus. A $50 donation will get you 500 chances to win and a video from Reedus thanking you. Autographed items start when you donate at least $250.
While all Skype servers were likely destroyed in The Walking Dead, a donation of $10,000 will get you 100,000 chances to win, a Skype chat with Reedus, and an action figure pack. If you want to guarantee a meeting with Reedus, you can donate $20,000, which gives you 200,000 chances to win the grand prize, a meeting with him, and a spot on the red carpet during the premiere in New York City.
The contest ends on September 29 at 11:59 p.m. PST. The winner will be announced on October 7. You must be 18-years-old to enter. The winner will also be allowed to bring a guest to lunch and the premiere.
If you do not win the lunch date with Normal Reedus, you will have to wait until October 11 to catch the first episode of season 6 of The Walking Dead.
