University Of NSW Facebook Page Hacked With Soft Porn Images Of Mia Khalifa & Kim Kardashian Lookalikes
The University of New South Wales is apparently one of Australia’s top unis, but is currently suffering embarrassment over a hack which caused inappropriate pornographic content to be shared on its Facebook page.
According to Yahoo, images of Lebanese porn star Mia Khalifa and semi-clothed photos of a Kim Kardashian lookalike and other women popped up all over their timeline. There were also detailed instructions on how to French kiss along with photos of guns, all of which was revealed to the 360,000 odd people who “like” the Facebook page.
According to the Mirror, the hack happened early Saturday morning, just before the university kicks off its Open day.
Comments from both students and other Facebook users showed just how embarrassing the hack was to the University of New South Wales.
One comment from Adam Hongru Liu aptly stated, “If you can’t even secure a freaking Facebook account, how can you be called the leading engineering institute in au?! Even a 10 year-old boy knows that.”

Another from Hugh McMullen read, “This is pretty disgraceful. And embarrassing to our image on open day.”
However, others found the whole thing a little amusing and took a lighter stance on the hacked images, which have since, fortunately, been removed.
Albert Hung Vincent Loo made the comment: “Either the IT guy went on clicking virus links, or he just got fired and decided to revenge tongue emoticon.”
Another said, “I should transfer to UNSW,” while Hasanul Rizqa commented, “Go home, UNSW! You’re drunk.”
According to a spokesperson for the University of New South Wales, site administrators were alerted on the security breach early Saturday morning, but the hackers had done their job well, it seems.

The spokesperson said at the time, “All avenues were tried internally to regain access to the site, but administrators had been locked out altogether.”
However, working together with Facebook engineers, the problem now appears to be getting resolved although there are, apparently, still some problems.

The Facebook page now talks about the university’s Open page and an apologetic comment was published four hours before writing.
“So…this just happened. Our Facebook page was hijacked, as you would have guessed already. We are working with Facebook to resolve this issue. Thank you all for your patience and support and we look forward to resuming normal service!”
“We are thrilled that our Open Day is on today and we have welcomed thousands on to the campus. We would like to share this fabulous day with you so we’ll upload some snaps of our incredible campus decked out for Open Day.”
Ironically, one commenter did ask what had happened to Mia Khalifa, so she was missed.
In other recent news, it seems there was a fire this morning at the Kensington campus at UNSW. Maybe things got a bit too hot at the university?

It is still unknown who might be responsible for hacking the university’s Facebook page. Do you think it might be an IT student who suffered bad grades?
