Sarah Jessica Parker Will Host ‘Fabulous’ Obama Fundraising Dinner Next Month

Sarah Jessica Parker announced in a campaign email that she will be hosting a “fabulous” fundraising dinner hosting President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

The “Sex And The City” star will be hosting the event on Friday July 14th in her New York City home reports Politico. In an email sent out by the Obama Campaign and signed by Sarah Jessica Parker, she writes:

“As a woman, a mother, and an entrepreneur, I need to believe our country can be a place where everyone has a fair shot at success. This November’s election will determine whether we get to keep moving forward, or if we’re forced to go back to policies that ask people like my middle-class family in Ohio to carry the burden — while people like me, who don’t need tax breaks, get extra help…I hope you’ll help me welcome President Obama and the First Lady to New York. It should be fabulous.”

The Hill reports that supporters can donate any amount, although they ask at least $3 or more, to be entered in a raffle to attend the event. The winner would not only be attending the dinner at Sarah Jessica Parker’s and have all travel expenses and accommodations in New York City paid for, but would also receive two tickets to a Mariah Carey concert in New York City

This month a similar fundraiser was done in George Clooney’s Los Angeles home. The highly publicized event was a huge success, bringing $15 million for the campaign

Sarah Jessica Parker has been a long time supporter of Obama, she phone banked for his campaign in 2008.
