Coachella 2013 advanced tickets went on sale today and within hours were sold out for the event, with no confirmed music acts lined up for the event.
Advanced tickets for the 2013 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival were scheduled to go on sale today at 10 a.m. with general admission passes going for $349 and VIP passes going for $799. Within two hours the first weekend’s general admission passes for April 12-14 were sold out, with VIP passes not lasting much longer after that.
By 2 p.m. both general admission and VIP for the second weekend, April 19-21, were already sold out.
Camping packages for the event, which includes accommodations at the Lake Eldorado section of the campgrounds, are still available with either general admission or VIP tickets. General admission package starts at $2000 for two people and $3400 for four people. VIP packages are $2900 for two people and $5200 for four people according to Press Enterprise.
Some camping, parking and shuttle passes are also available.
Sales continue until May 24th and according to Coachella’s Facebook page:
“The price you see is what you pay – prices reflect all fees included.”
The Wall Street Journal reported that although it has yet to be announced, it’s more than likely the Coachella promoters will do a repeat of this year and have the same bands appear both weekends. The lineup for Coachella ’13 is likely to be announced shortly before the release of remaining tickets early next year
Coachella is one of the premier music festivals in the world, attracting tens of thousands of fans and some of the biggest names in music, which have included Paul McCartney, Jay-Z and Radiohead over the years.
The festival is expected to have a general on sale early next year.
