Safaree Samuels, Zashia Santiago Split Over Cheating Rumors: Nicki Minaj’s Ex Admits He’s Single

Safaree Samuels may have made headlines for his romance to model Zashia Santiago following his split from longtime girlfriend Nicki Minaj, but have the duo already called it quits over alleged cheating allegations?

According to new reports, Samuels has announced his newly single status after rumors began suggesting that Santiago was unfaithful in their brief romance.

Mstars reports that Samuels posted a video of himself confirming the breakup after fans began accusing him of cheating on Santiago. In the video, Samuels tells fans, “How can a single man cheat? I’m single, I do whatever the f*** I want.”

On Thursday, The Shade Room further confirmed rumors of Samuels and Santiago’s split after a source close to the Wild ‘n Out model admits that Samuels left Zashia “heartbroken.”

A friend of Santiago’s tells the site, “Zashia is one of the coolest, if not the coolest person I know. She is good hearted and I don’t like seeing her sad and heart broken. I don’t like when people take advanced [sic] of others and try to play them for a fool! It’s disrespectful! And she doesn’t deserve it. I refuse to see her like this anymore!”

The site also obtained screengrabs of an alleged conversation between Nicki Minaj’s ex and a woman named Porcelin, in which Safaree denies having a girlfriend.

When Porcelin asks Samuels if he has a girlfriend, the rapper replies, “I dmt [sic] have a girl. And I just got back from Jamaica, was out there pass few weeks.”

When the woman continues to press Samuels to explain the nature of his relationship to Santiago, Samuels explains, “Porcelin how are u going to tell me who im dating? Hmmm I cant have a girl friend it doesn’t work well in my field. Especially wit sum1 who doesn’t understand wat comes with it.”

The news comes just weeks after fans praised the Jamaican rapper for finally being able to move on from his 12-year relationship with Nicki Minaj, with some fans even calling Santiago an “upgrade” from the “Anaconda” rapper.

Despite the abrupt split, Samuels appears to be in good spirits; the rapper recently made headlines for showing his support for Drake’s “Back To Back” diss track aimed at Nicki Minaj’s new boyfriend, Meek Mill.

Urban Islandz reports that Samuels praised Drake for being able to turn the diss track into a club anthem, telling Onstage TV’s Winford Williams, “I like Drake. ‘Back To Back,’ that was hard.”

In regards to rumors that suggest Samuels purposefully blasted Minaj and Meek Mill with his own diss track, “Lifeline,” the rapper explains, “I was keeping my cool so what I put out it was just something to let it be known that I am not going to sit quiet anymore, so if another thing to slander me would have been done then my next move would have been explosive,” the rapper explains.
