The exotic dancers from the “renowned” Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris have gone on strike, Reuters reported today, “saying they are not being paid enough to take the shirts off their backs.”
First opened in 1951, the Crazy Horse has been a famous Paris tourist attraction for generations.
According to Reuters, Suzanne, one of the exotic dancers, described how it was to work in the cabaret featuring a “fully naked show,” similar to that in the Lido or Moulin Rouge.
“What’s wrong is that we are asked to work 24 days per month for a pay that is worse than miserable,” she was quoted as saying.
In a public statement, the management announced that while a deal has not yet been reached, “Everything is done to give the Crazy Horse show back to its public.”
