Melania Knauss Trump is on the road to the White House as the third Donald Trump wife to reign in the expanding Trump empire. Wife number three is a keeper. Though Melania Trump is like no other possible First Lady to adorn the nation’s top residence, and that might well be her greatest asset as she joins her husband on the campaign trail next week.

When it comes to eye candy, there is no comparison between Melania Knauss Trump and former First Ladies. Long before she married The Donald in 2005, Melania was an international model and adorned the famous swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated magazine. She has been the cover girl on magazines in the U.S. and abroad.
Is America ready for nude photos of its First Lady? A comparable situation is found in the third wife of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, Carla Bruni. Carla was also a former model prior to her marriage in 2008. That same year, a nude photo surfaced from a modeling shoot in 1993 and it sold at a much-publicized auction for $91,000.
In the case of Donald Trump’s wife, her photo shoot was never a secret. In fact, the pictures of her in GQ magazine were shot on Trump’s private jet. So far, Melania’s pictures have been a non-issue, even in the Bible belt where 30,000 showed up to hear Donald Trump in Mobile, Alabama, on Friday.
One thing about Melania Knauss Trump is that she is not bashful. Though not nude in the photo below, she did give Demi Moore and Kim Kardashian a run for their money when she posed pregnant in a gold bikini on the steps of the Trump private jet. That is definitely a first on the First Lady circuit.
Unlike Michelle Obama, Trump’s wife doesn’t mind at all if photographers spot her casually on the beach in a bathing suit.
The only other First Lady to willing pose in a bathing suit was Hillary Clinton. In the photo shoot, the Clintons were attempting to divert attention from the Monica Lewinsky scandal. That photo had a heavy dose of the cringe-factor.
This Donald Trump wife is a sophisticated fashion icon like no other, and that is not something that just money can buy. Her modeling career has shaped her image and she plays that card well. Born in the former Yugoslavia, Melania brings a European style to her American wardrobe.
Mrs. Trump also brings something new to the history of political campaigns: cleavage. Hitherto not seen in publicity photos of the wives of presidential hopefuls, Americans are likely to see many of these provocative photos of this potential First Lady.
Are women happy with the sexy image of Donald Trump’s wife? Women see a woman who is comfortable in her own skin and with the extra pounds she put on since she became a mother. They see the 45-year-old as a working mom (who doesn’t really need the money) and as someone who devotes a considerable amount of her time to charities. They see Melania Trump’s academic background, her long career as a single woman prior to marriage, and her European openness discussing sex with her husband on Howard Stern’s radio show. They see a mature woman who doesn’t seek the limelight and who isn’t full of scripted messages like other political wives.
When her son started school, Melania opened her own business, developing a line of affordable, costume watches and jewelry which she markets on the QVC channel, reaching its audience of mostly female viewers, over the age of 35, with household incomes above $35,000 per year. Millions of women have come to know her through her QVC broadcasts. She also introduced her own line of cosmetics and skin care on the show.
