Prince William Has ‘Abandoned Social Life’ At The Request Of Kate Middleton [Rumor]

Kate Middleton and Prince William attended the wedding of their close friends on Saturday, and while everyone else present was overjoyed to see the Royal pair, they also admitted that they were immensely surprised by their presence too.

That’s because the Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge haven’t been seen by their pals over the last few months, especially since Princess Charlotte was born at the start of May. The Mail On Sunday has reported that many members of the Royal couple’s close friends were shocked that the couple found the time to make it to the ceremony, which was held in Thurleston, Devon.

The publication’s sources have alleged that Prince William has basically abandoned his social life, after being asked to do so by Kate Middleton. According to the Mail’sinsiders, Kate Middleton wants the twosome to spend as much of their spare time as possible with their children — 2-year-old Prince George and 3-month-old Princess Charlotte.

Prince William has even been labeled a “party pooper” by one of his friends, because of the number of occasions that he and his wife have been turning down invitations for. A close family friend is reported to have remarked of the couple’s dwindling social life.

“Kate has basically told him that because of his hours with his new job, any other time has to be spent with her and the kids.”

“His friends understand,” they continued, “of course, but they are really missing him. And they suspect he is missing them too. William used to be allowed to go to things on his own and he’d always excuse Kate’s absence, but she’s asked him to avoid going to any social functions for the time being — with or without her.”

Since they exchanged vows back in 2011, Kate Middleton and Prince William have only attended three weddings together. They include Mark Tomlinson and Laura Bechtolsheimer, William van Custsem and Rosie Ruck Keene, and Tom Eaves and Libby Keir marry. Meanwhile, Prince William has attended at least five more weddings by himself, one of which he served as an usher.

In fact, while William was conducting his antics as the usher for his old friend Tom van Straubenzee in June, 2013, Kate Middleton was spotted out shopping instead, rather than attending the wedding. However, one of the main reasons why she might not have been there was because she was eight months pregnant with Prince George at the time.

It’s also been alleged that his antics at Straubenzee’s wedding are now the reason why Kate Middleton has looked to try and quell his social life. At some point during the reception William lost part of his tooth.
