Can You Spot The Woman On Mars? NASA’s Curiosity Rover Photographs Odd Woman-Like Figure Standing On Distant Planet
Often times, images of figures or strange happenings on other planets are created from scratch or photoshopped by someone on the internet. Well, when it comes straight from NASA, that’s an entirely different story. A photograph taken by NASA’s Curiosity rover has landed online and it shows a strange and mysterious woman-life figure standing on the surface of Mars.
As Fox Now pointed out, the image actually shows what looks like “a woman partly cloaked.” On social media sites, she is now getting the nickname of the “Dark Lady,” and some are still trying to determine exactly what they are looking at.
A video has now landed online and it analyzes the “Dark Lady” and if she is really there. The interesting thing is that it also shows what appears to be a cave entrance and a dwelling built into the rock near her.
It’s being talked about a lot on Twitter and in discussion forums that the shape is definitely a woman. The reason they know it is a woman is that a shadow on the chest of the figure gives off the inclination that it has breasts.
From there, the image is being further analyzed and now people have spotted a head, two arms which are lighter in color than the cloak, a bit of a flesh-colored chest, and long hair.
Some people are saying that this is total proof that there is other life out there and on other planets.
The image of the mysterious woman on Mars comes just days after a photo of a very odd-looking “space crab” started floating around the internet. It was another picture taken by NASA’s Curiosity rover on Mars.
Some suggestions have been made that is could be an alien or a spider or honestly, just a piece of rock. Then again, it could really be nothing at all but the mind playing tricks.
Seth Shostak, a senior astronomer at the Center for SETI Research, said that the visions of the space crab are simply pareidolia. Shostak compares it to people seeing images in clouds and believe they see something so the brain makes them think they really do.
“Those that send them to me are generally quite excited, as they claim that these frequently resemble something you wouldn’t expect to find on the rusty, dusty surface of the Red Planet.
“It’s usually some sort of animal, but occasionally even weirder objects such as automobile parts. Maybe they think there are cars on Mars.”
Some never know if they are seeing beings or pyramids or anything else on Mars, but it’s fun to try and determine it all. The strange looking woman figure that is standing on the surface of Mars may or may not be there, but coming from NASA’s Curiosity rover, at least everyone knows the pic is legitimately of something.
