Sarah Michelle Gellar Hints Her Daughter Could Be The Next ‘Vampire Slayer,’ Shares Cutest Photo With Dad

Sarah Michelle Gellar, who immortalized the role of a girl that slays vampires in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, hinted at passing on her legacy to her daughter.

Sharing a cute photo of her daughter learning how to tackle bullies with martial arts, Sarah Michelle Gellar, better known as Buffy, the innocent looking sweet girl that isn’t afraid to take down vampires, asked her fans if her daughter could grow up and take on demon-killing as a profession. Though Gellar had retired her stakes — she used to slay vampires over a decade ago — and took up a marital and parenting role, she clearly still feels strongly about her reel role in the iconic feminist supernatural show Buffy the Vampire Slayer,reported Entertain This.

Gellar’s daughter seems to have imbibed the slayer instincts from her mother as she “pummeled” an “attacker” in her martial arts class. Learning how to defend herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar’s daughter Charlotte showed off some cool moves against her doting dad Freddie Prinze Jr., during jiu-jitsu class for kids.

Extremely proud of their daughter’s achievements and perseverance, the proud parents posted her accomplishments on Twitter. While Prinze Jr., uploaded a couple of photos, Gellar retweeted the same with the hastag #FutureSlayer.

Interestingly, if one considers the original Buffy The Vampire Slayer storyline, it becomes quite clear that the position of a brave slayer isn’t hereditary, reported MoviePilot. Instead, the show was how an ordinary girl overcomes her deepest and darkest fears and starts to destroy the vampires. The series was based on a movie starring Kristy Swanson; however, unlike the movie, Buffy in the series seeks help from a band of trusted friends who aide her in slaying vampires. Business is brisk because Sunnydale, where Buffy and friends live, apparently sits atop a gateway to the realm of the demons.

The movie, as well as the series, was hugely popular. The series also helped launch careers of quite a few actors as well. Even Sarah Michelle Gellar’s career skyrocketed after Buffy. Apparently, Gellar might be seriously considering rebooting the popular series, but her daughter Charlotte is obviously too young. Still, the production houses could decide to go in for a prequel, which is a quite popular choice these days and show the pre-slayer days of Buffy.
