Bobbi Kristina Brown: Death Photo Sold For Six Figures, Shows Bobbi Kristina In Casket
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death photo has reportedly been sold. According to TMZ, an unnamed media outlet purchased the photo of Bobbi Kristina in a casket for six figures. It is unknown who took the photo at the 22-year-old’s wake, but the Houston’s and the Brown’s are reportedly busy arguing and pointing fingers at each other.
“Someone snapped a pic of BK during the viewing, which took place the day before the funeral. We’re told the winning offer topped the $100,000 mark. Our sources say members of the Brown and Houston families are blaming each other for the pic, which was snapped despite all the precautionary measures,” reports TMZ.
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s mother, Whitney Houston, also had a death photo from her wake sold to the media. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the National Enquirer posted the photo of Houston in her casket. This, of course, caused major controversy.
“In the photograph Houston is shown wearing a dark dress while lying in a coffin and her nickame “Nippy” is featured in blue script along with two treble clefs on the white lining of the casket’s cover. In a second photograph the coffin appears to be empty in a viewing room at a funeral home which suggests it’s real,” reported the Inquisitr at the time.
Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy, was absolutely furious that the photo was taken and then sold — never mind the fact that the National Enquirer published it. The funeral home denied that anyone from their staff took the picture, which was sold to the media for an unknown amount of money (chances are it fetched well over $100,000).
Bobbi Kristina Brown has been buried next to her mother. According to People Magazine, Bobbi’s body was taken to Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey, on Monday afternoon. The family held a brief service at the cemetery before Bobbi Kristina’s casket was lowered into the ground.
Within minutes of Bobbi’s burial, news broke that her death photo had been sold. It is unknown if the family (either the Brown’s or the Houston’s) plan on taking any legal action.
Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unconscious in a bathtub inside her home back in January, and some say that she tried to recreate her mother’s death. Her family chose to keep her on life support for several months, but made the decision to let her go in July.
Bobbi Kristina died on July 26 at a hospice facility in Georgia.
