PlayStation 4 players with PlayStation Plus membership will be happy to know that Sony is upping the ante for the Instant Game Collection feature available in PlayStation Plus by incorporating a Vote To Play program, John Koller announced at the PlayStation blog . Vote To Play will enable PlayStation 4 players to cast their votes on three PlayStation 4 games, and the top ranking game will instantly be included in the Instant Game Collection for the next month.
Sony is still testing out the new Vote To Play feature for PlayStation Plus members, so Koller announced that the two runner-ups in the voting process will be discounted instead.
“The game with the most votes will automatically be included in our future free game lineup for PlayStation Plus. If your pick didn’t make the lineup, don’t worry. In the first promotion, PlayStation Plus members can get the runner ups at a discount. We love to listen to our fans – and we’re super excited to launch this promotion.”
The Instant Game Collection is a feature for those with the PlayStation Plus membership for PlayStation 4 and is a collection of free games for download to PS Plus members. This new Vote To Play program by Sony is a great opportunity for PlayStation 4 players to voice out which games should be included in the monthly lineup added to the Instant Game Collection. However, PlayStation Lifestyle reports that Vote To Play for PS Plus will not be a monthly feature . It will only take place at regular intervals for PlayStation Plus throughout the year.
Polygon reports that the previous promotion leak for the PS Plus Vote To Play feature that came out early last week showed Armello , Grow Home, and Zombie Vikings as the three games that will be put up for voting. However, it is uncertain if these three games were only used as an example to show how the voting will take place for PlayStation 4 players, or if these already are the games that will be put up for the first run of the Vote To Play feature for PlayStation Plus.
The Inquisitr previously reported that for the month of August , PlayStation Plus is including Lara Croft And Temple of Osiris and LIMBO in the Instant Game Collection. These will be available for PlayStation Plus members starting August 4. Vote To Play, however, still hasn’t released an official start date in PlayStation 4.
