‘Teen Mom 2’ Preview: Leah Messer’s Daughter Claims She Has To Make Breakfast For Herself While Mom Sleeps

In a new Teen Mom 2 preview, Corey Simms spotlights Leah Messer’s alleged parenting struggles. During a clip shared by Starcasm on July 27, Simms and Messer sit down at a local restaurant to discuss a possible change in the custody agreement for their 5-year-old twin girls, Ali and Aleeah.

According to Simms, who previously labeled his ex-wife “unfit,” he was concerned about Messer’s emotional state, as well as her parenting, or lack thereof, and in the Teen Mom 2 preview, he expressed those concerns to her.

“If I have them for that extra little bit, that’s an extra little bit that I don’t have to worry about it. I don’t want you to take this the wrong way, but that’s time that I don’t have to worry: ‘Are they tardy?’ or ‘Are they late?’ Or ‘Are they there, or are they not?’ “

One of Simms’ main issues with Messer at the time of his custody filing was her failure to get their children to school on time — or at all.

As the Teen Mom 2 preview continued, Simms worried Messer was sleeping too much, and feared their children were in danger because of it.

“I was a sick a couple weekends ago and eating toast, and Aleeah’s like, ‘Oh I know how to make a toast.’ I’m like, ‘How the hell do you know how to make a toast? How do you even know how to use a toaster?’ This is what she said. She said, ‘Cause my mommy’s a sleepy head, and I have to make myself breakfast.’ Whenever your child says that, and she can show you how to make toast in a toaster to back up what she said, that’s hard!”

As the Inquisitr reported prior to the Teen Mom 2 preview, Messer’s parenting appeared to be in a downward spiral during last week’s episode. In a Teen Mom 2 preview earlier this month, Messer was seen arriving home on a school night at 10 p.m., feeding her children dinner after 11 p.m. and putting them in bed at midnight.

At the time, Messer admitted she could probably use some help with her three girls.

Although Messer doesn’t have a job outside of filming Teen Mom 2, she seems overwhelmed with her gig as a mom, and often appears out of it, which fans have called her out on online. The out of it behavior, however, Messer claims is the result of her headache medication.
