Neal Falls: Serial Killer Shot By Prostitute, ‘Heather’ Describes Murderer’s Death
Is it possible Neal Falls’ serial killer past may have finally caught up with him? West Virginia police are investigating the 45-year-old man after he attempted to murder a prostitute by choking her to death. The victim defended herself and shot Falls, killing him. Now, the woman, who calls herself only Heather, is describing what happened in detail.
In a related report by the Inquisitr, the reason police suspect Neal Falls is a serial killer is because six women had disappeared under mysterious circumstances in the area during the last 13 months. There have also been a series of dismemberment deaths in Henderson, Nevada, just outside of Las Vegas. Sheriff George Lavender had promised he would hunt this serial killer down, but they didn’t haven’t any major leads on the killer’s identity.
“If you’re … coming down here to do dirty things in our community, leave,” the sheriff said. “Because we’re going to drive you out or you’ll be in jail. We are going to take back our streets and we’re going to make this work. Chillicothe was a great town and it’s going to be great again.”
The story starts when Neal Falls contacted Heather the prostitute through an online escort ad. Falls went to her home in West Virginia and when Heather answered the door he was armed with a gun. Before she could say anything, Falls asked, “Live or die?”
When the alleged serial killer started choking her, Heather fought back.
“When he strangled me, I grabbed my rake, and when he laid the gun down to get the rake out of my hands, I shot him,” Heather said. “I grabbed the gun and shot behind me.”
After shooting her attacker, she escaped the house and dialed 911 with the help of a neighbor. The neighbor said she “had to defend herself,” and she had “cuts and stuff all over her.”
“I knew he was there to kill me,” Heather said.
When investigators looked inside the man’s vehicle, they found more evidence which may confirm Neal Falls’ serial killer history. Inside the car, they found a machete, axes, knives, a shovel, a sledgehammer, bleach, plastic trash bags, bulletproof vests, and four sets of handcuffs. The man also had a list of 10 names and phone numbers for other escorts, but fortunately all of them are still alive.
“It’s likely that Mr. Falls is a serial killer,” said Steve Cooper, Charleston Police Department Chief of Detectives. “I believe she saved lives by shooting Mr. Falls, based on what he did to her and based on the items found in her car.”
Another woman named Pauline told KVAL that she used to be a roommate with Falls, but she suspected something was off and forced him to move out by claiming her house was for sale.
“Little creepy, very tightly lipped and not a chummy guy, definitely not a chummy guy,” she said. “Somebody who doesn’t like to be exposed.”
She also described how Falls tried to prevent his landlord from seeing into his room.
“The first thing that he did that was a little odd was that he immediately changed the deadbolt to his own room so that only he had a key,” said Pauline. “I don’t go into people’s rooms, but he was going to make sure of that, so now I can wish – I wonder what was in there.”
Police say Heather shot Neal Falls in self defense and she will not be charged. According to CBS, West Virginia police are currently working with the FBI to try and link Falls to other crimes.
