Brandi Glanville Breaks Up With J.R. Ahead Of ‘RHOBH’ Season Six
Brandi Glanville is newly single. As the recently-demoted star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills prepares for the start of filming on the sixth season, she has announced her latest breakup from on-again, off-again boyfriend, Jonathan “J.R.” Ruiz.

Brandi Glanville and Ruiz began dating years ago after meeting at Kyle Richards’ Annual White Party. Although Glanville and Richards aren’t currently friends, they once attempted to be civil with one another, and during that time, Glanville was introduced to Ruiz by Richards’ husband Mauricio Umansky, who worked with Ruiz. Since then, Brandi Glanville and her boyfriend have been breaking up and making up every few months.
Brandi Glanville first became a household name in 2009, after her then-husband, Eddie Cibrian, the father of her two sons, Mason and Jake, began having an affair with country singer LeAnn Rimes, who was also married. Months later, Glanville and Cibrian divorced, and in 2011, Cibrian married Rimes.
Around that time, Brandi Glanville landed her job with Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a friend of Adrienne Maloof. When she first came aboard the series, Glanville was featured in a part-time role, but during season three, her role was upgraded to full-time.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Brandi Glanville’s role as a full-time housewife was recently cut, and for season six, she will be seen in a reduced role. After denying she was fired from her full-time role on the show for weeks, Glanville finally came clean in a column for Australia’s NW Magazine, via AllAboutTRH.
“Well this week has been crazy! I spoke to Yolanda Foster and Kim Richards. Lisa Vanderpump actually emailed me after I got fired which was very weird. I was shocked, it was very unexpected. I feel like she did so I’d tell people that she did it. Everything with her is a plan — everything is very strategic.”
“RHOBH isn’t done, though – they want me part-time. I don’t want to close that door, but I have other offers. I have choices, and that’s what the hard part is – I want to make a great choice. I might only get one chance at this!”
No word yet on whether or not Brandi Glanville has begun filming season six.
