Man Reunited After 40 Years: Siblings Meet Brother Given Up For Adoption 40 Years Ago
A man is reunited with his siblings 40 years after being adopted as an infant, and the video will warm your heart. According to WCPO, Robert Allen Jr. decided to post a message on Facebook after getting an original copy of his birth certificate that had his birth parents’ names on it. Within hours, Allen was chatting with his biological sister.
“As soon as we found out I was talking to my sister, I just broke down in tears. It was the best feeling I ever had in my life … and I had a lot of ups, high points in my life, but this was absolutely the best feeling I ever had in my life – to finally meet my siblings.”
The man reunited with his family after 40 years didn’t realize he had so many other siblings. He learned that he was his mother’s sixth child, and that she gave him up for adoption when he was just 5-months-old. Although Robert’s birth mother passed away, he is more than happy to have found his siblings, and to have this family in his life.
According to Fox 19, Robert’s sister, Stacy, said that meeting her brother was “like getting part of her mother back.”
She does admit, however, that she was skeptical at first.
“A lot of people play a lot of games so you’re not sure if he was actually so once he answered a lot of different questions I knew at that point he was for sure.”
Robert Allen Jr. owns a store in the Springdale, Ohio, area, and found out that his mom and one of his sisters have shopped there in the past, and he never even knew that they were his blood relatives.
“I was just amazed to know that he was that close and we didn’t even know,” said Allen’s sister, Sonya Jordan.
His brother, A.J. Jordan, is really happy to have his brother back in his life.
“We always knew that we had a brother out there. We thank the Lord, we thank the Lord that he kept him, that he’s healthy and that he’s back with us.”
The man who reunited with his siblings after 40 years says that he now feels complete.
“I grew up with a good family and they took care of me and I grew up to be a good person, but still there was always a void and now that void has been filled.”
