T-Mobile Subscribers May Want To Get A Samsung Galaxy S6 Instead Of iPhone 6

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are, by far, the best selling smartphones of the past year. However, T-Mobile users may want to think twice about getting the new iPhone. Forbes describe a major problem with T-Mobile iPhones.

“Many T-Mobile iPhone users are expressing concern about a ‘blue screen of death’ appearing on their devices. The T-Mobile iPhones that have been affected with the bug turns blue for a second and then restarts. T-Mobile iPhone users have been experiencing the ‘blue screen of death’ issue over the last 24 hours or so.”

According to Macrumors, T-Mobile doesn’t have quite an acceptable solution.

“Some users have had success putting a stop to the restarts with a hard reset, and that’s the solution that T-Mobile is recommending to customers who call in. If that doesn’t work, T-Mobile is instructing customers to clear out their old text messages and do a factory restore via iTunes.”

T-Mobile subscribers took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.

Fortunately, Fox News has offered a solution.

“Disable and re-enable the WiFi Calling feature. You’ll find it by going into Settings and tapping Phone.”

Fox News also suggests that you delete your old text messages and perform a factory reset. However, if you do this, you will lose all your personal data. Many people are reporting that completely disabling the WiFi calling feature should do the trick. This PR disaster comes at a bad time for T-Mobile, who just announced an incredible “JUMP” plan that allows one to upgrade their smartphone anytime they want.

“With T-Mobile’s new JUMP! On Demand™, one low monthly phone payment covers the cost of a new smartphone and gives you the freedom to swap it for a new one absolutely anytime you like … at no extra cost. Which means you don’t pay a penny to walk out the door with your new smartphone today–not even sales tax, with qualifying credit,” reads the T-Mobile press release. You are allowed to exchange your phone three times a year. But you may want to wait before you get a new iPhone.

T-Mobile’s previous JUMP plans have come under scrutiny because subscribers ended up paying unnecessary out-of-pocket costs that were disguised at great deals for people who wanted to constantly exchange their phones. With the recent release of the Galaxy S6 and the upcoming release of the iPhone 6s, T-Mobile’s new plan is smart. Let’s just hope they can fix the blue screen of death issue on the iPhone.
