Jill Duggar Writes Dad A Sentimental Message On Father’s Day For His ‘Godly, Humble Leadership’
Jill Duggar wrote her dad, Jim Bob Duggar, a sentimental message on Father’s Day, thanking him for his “Godly, humble leadership,” Radar Online reports. Just weeks after the molestation scandal involving her brother, Josh Duggar, surfaced and put a dark shadow over the parents, Jill let people know how much she respects her father.
A photo of Jim Bob holding his grandson, Israel, was posted on Instagram with a long note she captioned with it.
“Happy #FathersDay Daddy! I am so blessed to have you as my dad and such a great example of Godly, humble leadership! I love you SO much! ??? Deuteronomy 6:6-9 – ‘These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society.’ –Billy Graham @duggarfam #JimBobDuggar.”
The Duggars’ reality show on TLC, 19 Kids and Counting, has been suspended from the network after news got out about Josh “inappropriately” touching his sisters when he was a lot younger. Jill and Jessa Duggar sat down with Megyn Kelly in an interview to talk about the scandal. Both admitted they were two of his victims that he touched out of “curiosity” about girls. They also said their bedroom doors had to remain locked so it would deter their brother from entering.
People reports that Jill and Jessa were seen on Saturday for the first time since they interviewed with Kelly. The two women appeared at the ALIVE Christian Music Festival to talk about faith, marriage, and children.
Jill Duggar brought up the subject of her family and said that they aren’t perfect. She didn’t bring up anything specific related to the molestation scandal, but she gave people something to think about when she mentioned having so many siblings.
“Hey we’re not a perfect family, we mess up. Imagine what life is like with a family with two or three kids and multiply that about 10 times over and that’s what you get.”
Josh and his wife, Anna, were originally scheduled to attend the ALIVE event, but didn’t appear.
