Michael Jackson’s Son, Blanket, Is Changing His Name: Find Out Jackson’s Unique Choice
When Michael Jackson’s son, Blanket, was born, the media was in a complete uproar about the name Jackson chose for his youngest son. Jokes were flung in the media, headlines were filled with puns, and according to Radar, those jokes didn’t die down in the classroom when Blanket Jackson headed to school.
According to the outlet, Blanket has resented his father for giving him a name that makes him an easy target for jokes and bullying. It’s said that Jackson’s son has decided to change his name in hopes that the bullying he’s endured for years will stop.
The 13-year-old, who is attending The Buckley School in California, has decided to change his name to Bigi. According to a source, Blanket, who is going into eighth grade, “changed his name informally from Blanket to Bigi before entering Buckley because he hated getting bullied and made fun of because his name was Blanket.”
According to a source, “Growing up, his school mates have always been slightly mean to him because of their jealousy over who he is and going by Blanket made him a much easier target for ridicule. When he entered Buckley he told them that his name is Bigi and that is what they call him.”
So what does Bigi represent? According to Kabalarian Philosophy the name Bigi means an individual is, “idealistic, sensitive, and inspirational.” An individual that has this name is considered to be, “generous and people are drawn to you because of your friendly and sympathetic nature.” The name is German in origin.
This is a name change that the Jackson family seems to have accepted, as proof of Blanket’s yearbook photo.

The source went on to say that Blanket is different from his siblings Paris, 17, and Prince, 18. “He is definitely the opposite of Paris and Prince and he is more on the quiet side. Michael would be proud of Blanket. He is really sweet, funny and helpful.”
As for his extracurricular activities, Blanket Jackson sounds a lot like his father, Michael. “He volunteers to help the younger kids and he is really good with them. He probably got that from his dad.”
