Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie To Buy Their Own Private Greek Island?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie apparently want to have more private vacations in future with the whole family. They are reportedly about to invest in their own private Greek island, namely the Isle of Gaia in the Echinades Chain, located in the Ionian sea.

The 43-acre island is up for sale, and apparently has already secured planning permission for six villas, making it the perfect vacation destination for Brad and Angelina as well as their six children, Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 9, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 6, along with any other friends and relatives who wish to join them.

According to the Washington Post, the property is on sale through Private Islands Online at a cost of $4.7 million and should they buy it, the couple can really enjoy a more private type of vacation and relax without the dangers of bumping into the paparazzi around every corner.

While rumors flit around the media that the famous couple are broke, this seems to be untrue, as a source close to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie apparently told OK! Magazine that Angelina fell in love with the Isle of Gaia as soon as she saw it, but that it will need a little development should they indeed purchase it.

However at such a reasonable price the source said they will have no problem “building the vacation home of their dreams” as well as thoroughly enjoying their privacy together.

“The kids would finally be able to run around freely without worrying about paparazzi.”

The Pappas Post reports that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s dream island is located in the Ionian Sea in the Echinades Chain of islands, close to Ithaki and Kefalonia. The Echinades islands are situated at the mouth of a river which empties into the Ionian Sea from mainland Greece.

According to Greek mythology, the Echinades were nymphs who were turned into islands by the river deity god, Achelous, because they refused to worship him.

News of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s plans to buy the private island comes after reports they had recently put their New Orleans home on the market at $6.5 million, as mentioned on the Inquisitr.

The property was acquired by Brangelina in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, which devastated New Orleans. Brad Pitt reportedly spent much time in New Orleans while his foundation, Make It Right, assisted with the rebuilding efforts in the deluged city.
