Shannon Beador Talks Husband’s Affair And Why The ‘RHOC’ Couple Are Sharing Marriage Troubles With Millions

Shannon Beador’s bombshell on Monday night’s premiere of the Real Housewives of Orange County gave viewers insight into the troubles behind the couple’s marriage issues last season. The RHOC star says reliving these moments are incredibly difficult, but the couple decided to share their marriage trouble with millions in order to help other couples.

According to Shannon, in her Bravo blog published after the premiere aired, she and husband, David Beador, decided to reveal the personal and private details behind the affair during Season 10 of the show so that others can look to the couple as role models in repairing a marriage.

“The decision was not an easy one. But after much counseling and discussions with our children, we thought that we would tell our story with the hope that other couples who have faced similar heartbreak can repair and restore their marriage like David and I are doing.”

As People reports, Shannon Beador revealed during the premiere that just when she felt the couple’s marriage was back on the right track last season, David started having an affair. At the opening of Season 10 on Monday, viewers watched as David and Shannon headed to a couple’s retreat to try to salvage what is left of their marriage. When the couples in the group session listed the highs and lows of their lives during counseling, Shannon says David listing the affair as a high in his life was a huge blow and something she is still dealing with.

“When watching David reveal the highs and lows in his life, I felt like I was punched in the stomach. I saw that he listed the affair as both a ‘high’ and a ‘low.’ I heard him say that the affair gave him ‘new life.’ Today, I am trying to process through the hurt that I feel from his comments.”

Shannon maintains she is focusing on the positive now and David Beador taking responsibility for the damage he caused his family and being accountable to millions of viewers has helped her get through the difficult moments.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Shannon Beador remarked recently that fans will see “a lot of real” during this season of the show; however, many fans were surprised and saddened by Shannon’s bombshell. After the episode aired, many fans took to Twitter to express their condolences and ask the reality star how things are going in the marriage now. Shannon, who is live tweeting during this season of the show, assures fans while the episode was hard to watch, things between the couple are much better now.
