Gretchen Rossi Speaks Out After Meghan Edmonds Calls Jeff The ‘Old Guy’

Gretchen Rossi may not be on The Real Housewives of Orange County any longer, but she isn’t letting people say just about anything about her past life in the spotlight. The newest season is just around the corner, and there is one new housewife who is already making waves. Meghan Edmonds may be new to the show, but she has already accused Brooks Ayers of faking cancer, and this morning, she made a comment about Gretchen.

At first glance, the comment appeared to be hurtful. Gretchen Rossi spotted the tweet and was quick to set the record straight, which led to a conversation between the two ladies. And the conversation forced Rossi to go back in time, open a box of feelings, and reflect on her former life with Jeff Beitzel.

According to a new tweet, Gretchen Rossi is now revealing that it was odd to see Edmonds refer to Jeff as the “old guy” on Twitter. But Meghan admitted that she didn’t know the storyline because she hadn’t actually watched The Real Housewives of Orange County prior to joining as a cast member.

“Yeah I saw it but just didn’t follow religiously. I liked when Gretchen Rossi was w the old guy but I was sad too,” Meghan revealed on Twitter, adding, “I remember he was sick and that was sad, I don’t remember that he died. Sorry for your loss.”

Luckily, Gretchen Rossi appeared to be very forgiving after Edmonds revealed that she hadn’t been watching the show and meant nothing with the comment, “old guy.” But Rossi may have been defensive because she went through quite the ringer when they were dating. Many couldn’t see the connection they had, and Gretchen was called a gold digger. But as the show unfolded, Rossi showed that she truly cared for him.

“Oh and and his name was Jeff, not ‘old guy’,” Gretchen Rossi replied, saying, “thank you very much, it was a horrible time in my life. I’ve heard the stuff your dealing with as well. Sending good vibes your way,” and later adding, “no hard feelings, just so much negative came from the ‘old man’ sentiment so many put out there, and it was never about age for us, we just loved each other. Thank u for your kind words.”

Since leaving the show behind, Gretchen Rossi has continued with her relationship with Slade Smiley. According to the Inquisitr, Rossi is doing well with Smiley, and they are trying to get pregnant. Even though Gretchen isn’t on the show any longer, her name tends to pop up at times, especially in regards to her former co-stars.
