On Friday, a white police officer pulled a gun on a group of teenagers, most of them African-American, who had gathered at a suburban Texas pool to celebrate the end of school — and it was all captured on video.
Multiple units swarmed the party Friday, responding to calls that several juveniles who didn’t live in the area were at the Craig Ranch North community pool without permission, the Washington Post reported. The youth claimed they had passes.
After the initial call, more people phoned in to report that the teens were fighting, Fox4 reported.
But according to those who saw the confrontation unfold from start to finish, it all began when “adults … told the black children to leave the area and return to ‘Section 8 [public] housing,’ ” explained the kid who shot the video, Brandon Brooks.
Brooks is white.
“I think a bunch of white parents were angry that a bunch of black kids who don’t live in the neighborhood were in the pool. Everyone who was getting put on the ground was black, Mexican, Arabic. The cop (with the gun) didn’t even look at me. It was kind of like I was invisible.”
When the cop, confirmed as Sgt. Eric Casebolt, arrived alongside other officers, Brooks said they “started putting everyone on the ground and in handcuffs for no reason.”

One particular woman is being pegged as the person who started the fight with a 14-year-old girl. Her father plans to file charges against the woman, who wasn’t named.
Casebolt, the Texas cop who features so prominently in the YouTube video, arrives amid of a scene of chaos. Many people are screaming and running about as he and other officers seem to attempt to bring order to a situation that the McKinney Police Department implied was rife with teens refusing to “comply with police demands.”
But the problem is how the Texas cop appeared to calm the out-of-control situation. He pulled his gun on the crowd, ordered kids onto the grass, and pulled some by the hair, cursing at the group in general, “Y’all make me f**king run around here with 30 pounds of goddamn gear on in the sun, because you want to screw around out here.”
In the most disturbing act, he body-slammed a bikini-clad girl, 15, to the ground, screaming at her to get “face down,” the New York Daily News added. That girl, Dajerria Becton, insisted she had been invited and had nothing to do with the fight, Fox4 added.

“He grabbed me, twisted my arm on my back and shoved me in the grass and started pulling the back of my braid. I was telling him to get off me because my back was hurting bad.”
Her parents wants more punishment than just a firing.
One adult male was arrested for interfering with officers and evading arrest, and the cop who pulled his gun is now on administrative leave pending an investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, people in the Texas neighborhood laud his actions.
“They were just doing the right thing when these kids were fleeing and using profanity and threatening security guards,” one woman said.
