Dad Posts Anti-Shaming Video Encouraging Parents To ‘Love Their Kids Regardless’
A dad from Florida decided to post a video about anti-shaming — a shout out to all of the parents out there who think it’s hilarious to publicly shame their kids on social media. According to Today, Wayman Gresham wanted to show people that “good parenting” isn’t about how you reprimand your kids, it’s about how you love them.
“I’m pretty sure you’ve seen many videos with parents cutting their kids’ hair, and today, I’m gonna follow suit,” says Gresham. Instead of cutting his son’s hair, however, he asks the boy to stand up, and then given him a hug.
“Good parenting is letting your child know you love them regardless of what they are and who they are and showing them a good example,” he said.
The boy’s dad and his son, Isaiah, are viral sensations. According to the Huffington Post, the video has been shared well over 500,000 times. It has been viewed over 19 million times.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there now seems to be a heated debate about publicly humiliating kids and whether or not it does any good. What do you think?
