Katy Perry Is Reportedly Using John Mayer To Write A Taylor Swift Diss Track
Katy Perry is currently working on her new album, which only means one thing: Diss track! The “Dark Horse” singer is planning to write a diss track about none other than Taylor Swift. She also wants her boyfriend, John Mayer, to help her out.
According to a new report, Perry wants to get back at Swift for the “Bad Blood” single. She also wants Mayer to help her write the song. Alleged sources told Heat magazine that Perry and Mayer are going to reveal some dirt about the sweet and innocent Swift.
“Katy thinks revenge is a dish best served cold. She’s even more determined to show people what she calls ‘the real Taylor’ – she’s writing some big, anthemic-type songs that’ll feature dirt on Taylor that John’s told her from when they used to date.
“Katy’s sure that she’ll be back on top before long, and Taylor will regret ever starting this stupid row.”
It was previously reported via the Inquisitr that Taylor somewhat banned Katy from the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. Somehow, Katy couldn’t handle the thought of seeing Taylor and her girl posse as she wins awards and premieres her music video for “Bad Blood.”
Perry was ready to go to the music awards. She even booked an eyelash extension appointment and a fitting for her custom gown. But it was her boyfriend, John Mayer, who convinced her not to go. Mayer reminded Perry that Swift may be there to take her down.
“John convinced her it was a bad idea. Katy realised she couldn’t stand the idea of the cameras being on her face as she had to watch Taylor win every award with all her friends applauding her.”
Now Katy Perry is at hard at work on her new album as she continues her Prismatic World Tour. Unfortunately for Katy Cats, her album probably won’t be released until 2016. But Perry hopes to drop a new single by the end of this year.
To kick off her new album era, Katy will also release new fragrance. According to celebrity gossip site Oh No They Didn’t, the pop tart is releasing “Mad Potion” by the second half of 2015. Katy is hoping that the new fragrance will coincide with her new album and new single. It’ll be interesting to see if that new single will be a response to Taylor’s “Bad Blood.”
Why are Katy Perry and Taylor Swift in a bitter feud? Swift told Rolling Stone magazine that her alleged enemy made backhanded comments that would make her question their friendship status. Perry also allegedly “sabotaged” Swift’s Red tour, according to Swift herself. But some fans say the real reason Perry and Swift are bickering is because they both infamously dated John Mayer.
As for Katy and John, they’re back on. The couple was spotted at Disneyland over the Memorial Day weekend. Katy and John have been dating on and off since 2012. Taylor previously dated the musician in 2010 in the middle of her Fearless tour. Katy was also Taylor’s good friend and a musical guest on her tour, at the time. Once John dumped Taylor, she wrote “Dear John” to expose his true nature to the world.
