Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Family Reportedly Bringing Her Back Home So They Can ‘Say Goodbye’
Bobbi Kristina Brown is headed home, but instead of a miraculous recovery it is reportedly something more tragic that is leading the 22-year-old to finally leave the hospital.
Brown has been hospitalized since she was found unresponsive in her bathtub in late January, and despite her family’s best efforts and the work of doctors, Bobbi has failed to show any progress.
Now, after being transferred between hospitals in the Atlanta area, Bobbi’s family is reportedly moving her back to the townhouse she once shared with boyfriend Nick Gordon.
Extra reported that the family wanted Bobbi Kristina Brown out of the hospital setting and into a place that could be more comfortable:
“That was her home and her mom’s home, and if they can bring her back it would be great. If she’s alive, let her be home and surrounded by beautiful photos of her mom. It’s as good as it gets in such a bad situation.”
But there appears to be little or no chance of recovery for Bobbi Kristina Brown. Her grandmother, Cissy Houston, has said in interviews that Bobbi’s brain damage is irreversible and said that her fate is in God’s hands now.
“She’s the same, she’s not progressing at all. She’s not gone yet, but you know, whatever the Lord decides, I’m ready for her… I have nothing to do with that. That’s His job. It’s His territory, you know? And I understand it.
“I’d like to thank everybody who was praying, who really knows the worth of prayer and I’m sure it’ll get through. I’m just waiting for whatever happens. We go to the hospital every day and pray and I talk to her because she can still hear and I rub her hand. We do what we can do. The rest is…all up to Him. We know nothing about His plan…All I can do is hope for the best.”
That has led to reports that family members are moving Bobbi Kristina Brown home so that they can “say goodbye” before taking her off life support.
It’s not clear when that might happen, however. There are reports of tension within the family, with some members ready to let her go but others — chiefly her father, Bobby Brown — trying to hang on.
And Bobbi Kristina Brown could reportedly hang on indefinitely. Sources close to the family say doctors would be able to keep Bobbi alive and in virtually the same unresponsive state for an indefinite period of time, so if family members aren’t ready to say goodbye, they won’t have to just yet.
