Bullfighter Gored In Neck: Saul Jimenez Fortes A Bloody Mess In Graphic Video
The bullfighter gored in the viral video that is now making the rounds on YouTube is Saul Jimenez Fortes, and apparently, it’s not his first time to take a horn through the soft tissue.
Fortes was in a similar accident last year at the very same show, according to the New York Daily News.
In fact, in the Inquisitr‘s previous report on the 2014 incident, three different matadors were gored at this very same festival, the San Isidro Fair. From the original piece.
“The first, David Mora, was the most seriously injured when the bull Deslio gored him in his side, then continued to maul him a bit more for good measure.
“Antonio Nazare came in and killed Deslio, then faced his own opponent, Feten, who thoroughly enjoyed dragging the matador around the ring and left him with an injured knee.
“Saul Jimenez Fortes came in to fight Feten as well, and the bull skewered him in the leg and pelvis.”
As you can see, it looks like Fortes got off “light” last year — not so in 2015. This time the matador took a horn right through the neck.

Apparently the bullfighter gored in the video above was meeting his sixth ornery beast of the day. The Daily News reports that the animal “bruised both his carotid artery and jugular vein.”
Surprisingly, Saul Jimenez Fortes is alive with “no fever” or signs of internal bleeding, according to a doctor who treated him.
The bull horn also got Fortes in the lower stomach.
The internet didn’t have much sympathy for Fortes, with many commenters saying stuff like these.
“That’s what you get for torturing an animal!”
“Totally barbaric. You mess with the bull, you get the horns.”
“I don’t like to see bad things happen to people. However, I am unsympathetic because that is what you get when you are torturing an animal to death and the animal defends himself.”
“I am more interested in how the bull is doing.”
