Teresa Giudice’s Beach Home Goes Into Foreclosure, Will Be Auctioned Off Next Month With A Starting Bid Of $100
Teresa Giudice is on the verge of losing not one, but two homes. As The Real Housewives of New Jersey star continues serving her 15-month sentence for crimes of bank and wire fraud, two of her New Jersey homes have gone into foreclosure.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Teresa Giudice’s Montville, New Jersey home, which fans regularly see on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, went into foreclosure earlier this month, and now, according to an April 20 report by NJ, Teresa Giudice’s beach home has also gone into foreclosure and will be auctioned off next month.
The site claimed Teresa Giudice’s vacation home, which is located on Sylvia Lane in Manahawkin, will be auctioned off by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office on May 19 with a starting bid of just $100.
Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe purchased the 1,350-square-foot home in 2005 for $347,000 and put it on the market last year for $315,000. The five-bedroom, two-bath home had been renovated twice, once before Hurricane Sandy hit the Jersey shore, and once after.
Four days prior to the news of Teresa Giudice’s beach home foreclosure, the foreclosure of their main home, located on Indian Lane, had been announced by NJ. The Montville mansion had been on and off the market for the last couple of years, most recently being listed at $2.99 million.
At the time of the report, it was noted that Teresa Giudice’s other homes, the beach home, and a third three-bedroom home, were in pre-foreclosure.
“The two homes are in pre-foreclosure, although there has been no notice of foreclosure for the Manahawkin home filed with Ocean County Superior Court. In May 2014, a mortgage holder on the Lincoln Park property filed a notice in Morris County Superior Court, but no further action has been taken.”
Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice were sentenced to prison time during a court appearance in October of last year. At the time, Teresa Giudice was dealt a 15-months sentence, while her husband, Joe, was sentenced to 41 months behind bars. Because of their four children, the judge on their case allowed the reality couple to serve staggered sentences, meaning Joe will begin his term once Teresa Giudice’s sentence is complete.
In the meantime, the Giudice family, including Teresa Giudice’s daughters, has reportedly been in talks for their own reality show, which, according to E! News, could begin production in the next few months.
Teresa Giudice will be released from custody in early 2016.
