What Happened to Carrie Underwood? Singer Absent From 2015 ACM Awards
Everyone seems to be asking the same question: Where was Carrie Underwood?
The seats at the star-studded 2015 Academy of Country Music Awards were filled with big-name stars, but Carrie Underwood wasn’t among them. Underwood was nominated for an award in three categories: video of the year, vocal event of the year, and female vocalist of the year. She did not win the award in any of the nominated categories. Carrie Underwood has not been seen in public in an official capacity since the birth of her son, Isaiah Michael Fisher, on February 27. However, on April 15, Underwood was seen supporting her husband, professional hockey player Michael Fisher, during a Nashville Predators playoff game. During the game, Underwood was seen dressed in head-to-toe Predator’s gear, which included a hat, sunglasses, and over-sized Nashville Predators jersey.

Shortly after Isaiah’s birth, the Inquisitr reported that Carrie Underwood had struggled a with her diet a bit more than normal during pregnancy. The 32-year-old country singer has traditionally eaten a vegan, plant-based diet, but during pregnancy, Underwood said allowed herself to eat things that were not normally part of her diet plan. In the same article, the Inquisitr reported that Carrie Underwood continued to work out and be physically active throughout her pregnancy.
“I still make it a point to be very active. Doing something, hiking, going for a run, lifting weights, boxing, doing things like that. It makes me feel good. It is great to do something for me, and that is something for me. I think that women should make time. A little time, 20 minutes, 30 minutes.”
Underwood didn’t win any awards during the ACM Awards this time around, but the multi-talented singer and new mother is no stranger to the ACM podium. In total, Underwood has won 11 Academy of Country Music Awards. In 2009, Carrie Underwood won the so-called ACM Triple Crown when she was given the awards in the Top New Female Artist category, Top Female Vocalist category, and Entertainer of the Year category. In winning the Entertainer of the Year award in 2009, Carrie Underwood became the first female to win the award twice.
Regardless of why Underwood decided to skip out on the 2015 Academy of Country Music Awards, one thing is obvious: In recent years, Carrie Underwood has quickly become one of the most decorated and awarded women at the ACM event.
