Assumed Killer is the newest movie that is due to premiere tonight on Lifetime Movie Network. Assumed Killer , formerly released as Assumed Memories, explores the fatal assumptions that can be made in the absence of proof, according to Variety .
Synopsis
Directed and written by Bernard Salzmann, the movie will tell the story of journalist Daria Valdez Morrow, a woman who is investigating a rash of disturbing crimes in the area.
The tenacious reporter explores what drives people to kill. She learns from the handsome Sam Morrow that people who kill are often motivated by fear, hate and love — unlike animals who kill out of instinct. No word on whether or not this movie was inspired by a true story.
After a severe car accident, Daria Morrow is left with retrograde amnesia. When she finally regains her memory, she begins to suspect that her husband is keeping secrets. Fearing that anyone could be a potential killer, Daria begins to wonder if she really knows her husband and if it’s possible that she could be married to a notorious serial killer.
Assumed Killer , AKA Assumed Memories, was originally released November 1, 2013. The movie was filmed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is produced by Concord Films.
It is available on DVD, video streaming on Amazon, and also shows on 8 Mundo Fox in Spanish. The mystery/suspense thriller stars Casper Van Dien, Barbie Castro, Armand Assante, Christie Lynn Smith, Eric Roberts, William Moses, Nancy Stafford, Antoni Corone, and Marc Macaulay.
The subject of not knowing who you are married to is a real situation for many people. One case that come to mind is the case of Alejandro Henriquez, a serial killer who killed several girls in New York City. In that case, his common-law wife was the one who helped turn him in. Another case is the case of the Green River Killer. That story was featured on the hit Investigation Discover y crime show Who The Bleep Did I Marry, which tells the true story of wives who have been married to infamous killers without their knowledge. The documentary reenacts the crimes leading up to the arrest of the killer.
Be sure to tune in to Assumed Killer on LMN at 7 p.m. central.
