WWE News: Finn Balor Teasing Debut On ‘Monday Night RAW’?
With Monday night RAW set to emanate from the o2 Arena in London, England, it appears that a big debut is in the cards. NXT superstar and well-traveled veteran Finn Balor is teasing an appearance tonight, via his Twitter page.

The 33-year-old native of Ireland has been working live events with WWE in recent weeks, leading many to believe that his debut on the main roster is imminent. Partnered with Michael “PS” Hayes tweeting last week that the company has big surprises in store this week, Balor is likely a big part of them.
Signing with the WWE in late 2014, the former member of the Bullet Club in New Japan Pro Wrestling was reportedly told that he wouldn’t be held at NXT for long as his talents would best be utilized on the main roster. With his fellow NXT competitors such as Adrian Neville and the Lucha Dragons being promoted, Balor appears next in line.
Just this past week, Balor returned home to his native Ireland as part of the WWE’s European tour and received a tremendous response from his country. In what is a hometown boy vs. hometown boy scenario, fellow Irishman Sheamus praised Balor after his match on a live event before assaulting him.
That sets up a possible rivalry right out of the gate for the formerly known “Prince Devitt.” However, there may be a better option to debut Balor and deliver a “coup de grace” to the competition.
With the newly-crowned United States champion John Cena issuing weekly open challenges to anybody that wishes to compete for his championship, a Balor debut would be a beneficial match for both parties. Balor would be debuting on RAW against the company’s top superstar in a venue that will surely be in his corner. It would be reminiscent of Cena accepting Kurt Angle’s open challenge in 2002 that jump-started his career.
The aforementioned Neville squared-off against the current WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins last week, a clear demonstration that the company has faith in their system. A system that helps mold talented performers into superstars that can jump onto the main roster, face the best wrestlers and look good in the process.
With his unique face paint and elaborate entrance, expect a moment for the ages if his music hits and his debut does transpire. But even if it’s just a tease for the time being, it’s clear that we will be seeing Balor called-up sooner rather than later.
