Taylor Swift Reportedly Fights With Lorde, Encourages Camila Cabello To Pull A Zayn Malik & Leave Fifth Harmony
Taylor Swift may appear like America’s Sweetheart, but according to some new reports, she may have a little bit of a mean girl in her. Some would say that Katy Perry was right to call the singer the “Regina George in sheep’s clothing.” Some reports are saying that Taylor is encouraging Camila Cabello to pull a Zayn Malik and leave Fifth Harmony for her own music career. The “Blank Space” singer has also been reportedly fighting with BFF Lorde about recording a duet with her.
Harmonizers will be shocked to hear that Swift has been allegedly encouraging Cabello to leave Fifth Harmony. She apparently believes that the singer is talented enough to make it on her own. A new report says that Swift, 25, is trying to get her new BFF Cabello, 18, to leave the girl group and take advantage of the “amazing solo career ahead of her,” a source told Hollywood Life.
“Time and time again, Taylor has brought to Camila’s attention that she has an amazing solo career ahead of her. It’s gotten to the point where she keeps trying to convince Camila to do a solo album.”
Taylor and Camila have been super close lately. The two singers were spotted out and about in New York earlier this week. Maybe Taylor and Camila were discussing business rather than boys and fashion. The insider said that even though Camila respects what Taylor says, she doesn’t want to leave the other four girls behind.
“She respects Taylor’s thoughts and is always very cordial, but Camila doesn’t want to really think about that as she loves being with the other girls of Fifth Harmony.”
Cabello doesn’t want to ruin the tight bond she has with band mates Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen, and Lauren Jauregui. The five girls formed as Fifth Harmony on The X Factor back in 2012, according to the news source. Cabello and the girls were in third place under the direction of Simon Cowell.
Camila is only listening to Taylor’s advice out of respect, but she doesn’t want to up and leave the girl group like Zayn Malik did with One Direction. Not only does she not want to ruin her friendship with her band mates, but she also doesn’t want to ruin her friendship with Taylor.
“This really has put Camila in a weird spot because she respects Taylor’s thoughts and is always very cordial but Camila doesn’t want to really think about that as she loves being with the other girls of Fifth Harmony.”
“It’s like walking on broken glass, she loves being friends with Taylor, so she is definitely making it look to Taylor that she is considering it even though it isn’t going to happen. She loves the Fifth Harmony experience way to much!”
Swift is also reportedly in a rift with singer-songwriter Lorde. The two singers were BFFs, but it doesn’t appear that way anymore since the “Royals” singer doesn’t want to record a duet with Swift, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry. The report says that Lorde won’t record with her best friend because their voices don’t “mesh well” together.
The April 13 issue of OK! Magazine reported that Taylor and Lorde were going to record a duet together, but it doesn’t sound like it’s going well.
“Lorde may join Taylor Swift for sleepovers and shopping sprees, but don’t expect the pop superstar to invite her blond bestie in to the recording studio any time soon.”
Taylor thought of the idea of recording a duet with Lorde, but the singer shot the idea down. It doesn’t sound like a bad idea though since Taylor’s hit single, “Blank Space” sounds a lot like a song Lorde would sing.
“Lorde loves Taylor but she thinks that their voices have completely different sounds and they won’t mesh well together. Taylor was pretty disappointed with her reaction.”
These news reports hint that Taylor Swift is causing some trouble with her BFFs in the music industry. Some would say that she shouldn’t mix personal matters with business, especially when it comes to dating DJ Calvin Harris. What are your thoughts?
