Noel Gallagher To Sing At Kurt Cobain’s Daughter’s Wedding?

Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of legendary Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, allegedly wants Noel Gallagher to sing at her impending wedding.

A source told the Daily Star that Cobain is a huge Oasis fan, and she wants her marriage to Isaiah Silva to be topped off by a live performance by Noel at the ceremony.

“Oasis are the band Frances listened to while growing up,” a friend of the 22-year-old told the publication. “Her wedding day wish would be to have Noel to play an intimate acoustic set.”

Noel Gallagher has previously admitted that he was a huge fan of both Kurt Cobain and Nirvana. During an interview with NME back in October 2011, he even revealed that he wished he’d had a chance to meet the iconic rocker.

“I wish I’d met Kurt Cobain,” the Mancunian musician revealed. “I always had an affinity with him. He was left-handed, blue-eyed, a Gemini, loved The Beatles like me. I would have loved to shot the f****** s*** with him.”

However, there is one issue that might prevent Noel from either attending or being invited to Frances Bean Cobain’s nuptials. Gallagher recently confessed that he went to great lengths to ignore meeting Courtney Love, Frances Bean’s mother and the widow of Kurt Cobain.

Speaking to NME, Gallagher admitted he was the sole reason the pair had never met, declaring, “I read an interview with her once and she said, ‘I can’t f****** believe this. I know everyone in London and I’ve never f****** met Noel – was he hiding from me?’ And the answer is: yes.”

Gallagher then elaborated on a specific near meeting by explaining, “I was in a studio in LA and we were in the back recording ‘Don’t Believe The Truth.’ And reception called us and said, ‘Just to warn you: Courtney Love’s just walked in.’ I knew Liam was running around in reception and I thought, ‘Brilliant, that’s a f****** meeting of minds right there.'”

Noel continued, “I could hear her shouting, ‘Where’s Noel? I gotta meet Noel!’ So I grabbed a cig, exited out the back door and went straight back to the motel and locked the door. I was like, ‘I can’t be dealing with her rowdiness – f****** hell, no way.’ But I applaud her.”

According to the Record, Frances and Isaiah have been engaged since October 2011, and they plan on exchanging their nuptials at a service this summer.
