Never mind Match.com or Plenty ‘O’ Fish – the real hooking up is over on Words with Friends

At one time the really hot place to meet women wasn’t the bars but rather the grocery store aisle or even the laundromat but with the advent of the Web and social media we hear all the buzz being about Match.com, Craigslist, or even Facebook and Twitter.

However there might even be a hotter place to hook up with that some special and I’m betting it is the one place you wouldn’t think of or have on your list of place to go to pick up a hot date.

I am of course speaking of Zynga’s Words with Friends, the social Scrabble-like word game over at Facebook because it seems that some folks are making some pretty hot connections over the triple word score area.

For Valentine’s Day the team at Zynga decided to have a poll to see if folks playing Words with Friends were doing more than just trading double entendres. After polling some 100,000 players out of a total of 19.9 million they found that one in ten of them said that playing the game “directly led to a hookup”.
