Gisele Bundchen Retiring From Fashion Runway After 20 Years, As Hubby Tom Brady Hopes For Hollywood
Gisele Bundchen is retiring from her long-standing career strutting down the fashion catwalk. Although the supermodel is famed for earning more than any other model in the world for eight years in a row, she’s decided to step off the runway after more than 20 years, reported Fox News.
Her fans will want to gather for her last show, scheduled for Sao Paulo Fashion Week, beginning April 13. Gisele’s last saunter down the runway will occur at the Brazilian Cocci show on April 22.
However, Bundchen definitely won’t be vanishing from public view. As the wife of Tom Brady, Gisele is frequently photographed with her famous husband. And their children — Benjamin, Vivian, and Jack — will appreciate the extra attention from their mom.
In addition, Gisele plans to continue her career of starring in endorsement ads, reported Entertainment Tonight. At 34, she models and does brand commercials for Chanel, David Yurman, and Under Armour. Bundchen has her own lingerie and footwear lines, as well.
The supermodel’s career began at age 13 when she won second place in a model contest. It took only two years before she attracted attention strutting along New York Fashion Week’s prestigious catwalk.
As for the power couple, it’s Gisele who earns the most, at $128,000 daily. But that doesn’t mean Tom is quietly sitting in the background plotting to join his wife in retirement.
Instead, Brady is contemplating Hollywood, according to the Boston Herald. Does he have what it takes to go from the football field to film?
“I see Tom playing the softspoken hero, falsely accused of a crime he didn’t commit, who must stay one step ahead of the law until he can prove his own innocence,” envisioned American Horror Story star Michael Chiklis.
Chiklis even came up with the happy ending for the pretend story.
“Of course he does, and gets the supermodel, too!” joked Michael.
Star of The McCarthys Jimmy Dunn also liked the notion of Tom Brady headed for Hollywood, and even thought he could join him on his show.
“I could see him playing Sean McCarthy’s best buddy. Season 4. ?After he wins two more ?Super Bowls — just tell him not to do an accent.”
If Brady decides he needs an introduction to someone behind the scenes, however, he might want to ask Gisele to introduce him to Ryan Seacrest. As the Inquisitr reported, Seacrest has earned a reputation of being attracted to supermodels. And he’s also become known as the man with the Midas touch after taking the Kardashian family from an unknown clan to reality TV fame and fortune.
