Selena Gomez Burned At Bieber Roast

The highly anticipated Comedy Central roast of pop star Justin Bieber was taped fewer than 24 hours ago, but it’s the jokes about his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, that are drawing the biggest headlines.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the roast of Justin Bieber was a long time in the making. Kent Altman, who is President of Content Development and Original Programing at Comedy Central said in a press release.

“Justin has been asking us for a few years to roast him, and we just kept telling him to go create more source material first. We’re thrilled he listened,”

It’s no secret that 21-year-old Justin Bieber has courted controversy in recent years, but he has kept a low profile recently. According to sources who know Bieber, he has spent the past few months on self-reflection, focusing on his religious faith, and reconnecting with positive influences. The roast was promoted as a kind of therapy for Bieber, his acknowledgement of all he’s done wrong and his public commitment to shape up.

The comedians who had the honor of roasting Bieber didn’t hold back, but surprisingly, some of the most vicious jokes of the night focused on ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, rather than Bieber himself. Some of the zingers aimed at 20-year-old Gomez include,

“You’re about to get f**ked harder than Orlando Bloom f**ked Selena Gomez.”

“Selena Gomez had to f**k you. She is literally the least lucky Selena in show business.”

“Selena Gomez wanted to be here but she’s dating men now. Is it true you dumped her because she grew a mustache before you? Selena Gomez had sex with [you]… proving Mexicans will do the disgusting jobs Americans just won’t do.”

Even Bieber himself got in on the action. During his much anticipated mea culpa speech.

“One more thing before I go. There’s someone in my life that I owe a special apology to. I’m talking about someone that I really loved and lost because I screwed it all up. But, thankfully, that special someone, the love of my life, is here tonight. I just want a second chance, so if you could come on out.”

The set up was clearly designed to build anticipation of an onstage reunion with Selena Gomez. Instead, Biebers pet monkey joined him on stage.

In recent weeks, Selena Gomez’s behavior has raised eyebrows. The former Disney star was spotted outside of the Vanity Fair Oscar party apparently intoxicated. Sources close to Gomez say she’s had trouble moving on after her October 2014 split with Bieber.

“Selena was broken hearted when things ended with Justin, and misses his support. She is now moving on, but she’s finding it hard to cut ties completely.”

But Selena has moved on. She is currently dating German DJ and producer Zedd. So far, Gomez hasn’t commented on the jokes at her expense.
