Ariana Grande Falls Onstage During Live Performance In Toronto [Video]
Ariana Grande falls after stumbling into a backup dancer while onstage during a live performance. The sudden tumble took place while Ariana was singing “Bang Bang” at a concert on Sunday in Toronto, Us Weekly reports. Her latest stop was at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, where she was entertaining to a huge crowd.
The 21-year-old, dancing in a pair of thigh-high heeled boots, was dancing enthusiastically onstage when she fell on another backup dancer. Luckily, the performance wasn’t too hindered and no one was hurt. Grande and her backup dancer went forward as though nothing happened; their recovery was quick.
Ariana is currently on her Honeymoon Tour. Ariana Grande’s fall is reminding everyone of Madonna’s recent fall onstage.
Us recalls an interview Ariana did with Shape magazine back in 2012, when the singer said, “Nothing burns more calories than dancing in 5-inch heels. Try it!”
Just before the “Love Me Harder” singer tripped, she was executing some seriously complicated dance moves.
After the Toronto concert, Grande tweeted a message to fans. She acknowledged the fall and thanked her fans for their support.
“thank u toronto!!!! tonight was such a fun show lol. y’all made me feel so much better! i love you & thank you so much.”
E! Online reports that this isn’t Ariana Grande’s first fall. The singer has experienced a few blunders. During a dress rehearsal for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in December, the singer almost fell when a wing on model, Elsa Hosk, smacked her in the face.
She also tweeted a message about the incident, writing, “A Victoria’s Secret angel accidentally smacked me in the face with her wings and it was awesome #goals #bangbangintomyface.”
The camera that captured the incident clearly revealed Ariana’s true pain. She handled it like a pro and continued with the rehearsal.
Madonna fell down at the Brit Awards while she was performing onstage with her backup dancers. As Fox News recapped in her interview with AP, the pop superstar said her cape was tied on too tight, and when her onstage dancers were pulling the cape, she tumbled down three steps. The “Living for Love” singer attributes her dedicated workout regime to not suffering any injuries. At 56 years of age, Madonna is in fantastic shape.
With the events of Madonna and Ariana Grande falls, who’s next in the music world to take an onstage tumble? Those dance routines are heavily involved with singers who wear tall heels and sometimes elaborate costumes.
