Iggy Azalea Leaves Social Media: Pop Star Deletes Her Instagram Account
Iggy Azalea appears to be leaving all forms of social media. The Australian pop star announced to her fans on Friday morning that her management team will be running her Instagram account.
The photo was captioned, “Until further notice Iggy’s Instagram will be run by management. Iggy is taking a break from social media. She loves all her Azaleans!!”
This news comes just a day after Azalea, 24, uploaded a series of paparazzi photos taken of her. She included a wordy caption about the paparazzi invading her privacy. Some of Azalea’s fans told her that things like this come with the perils of fame.
“This is me standing in front of my home, which has a 6ft high blacked out fence around it. No one should be made to feel like their own home is a prison because even your garden may be grounds for a photoshoot. I really just want to urge my fans to be aware of what you are enabling when posting these pictures. It is illegal to post images of someone in their home or property with a long range camera. I’m asking in the nicest way possible to please think twice about that. Your home is supposed to be your place of peace. I just want mine to be that too same as everyone else.”
Iggy didn’t take her fans’ reactions too well. It led her to delete her Instagram account, but only temporarily. Iggy’s Instagram account is back up and running, but it will also be run by her management team.
This isn’t the first time that Azalea has threatened to quit social media. Back in February, she announced that she would be leaving Twitter. Azalea couldn’t delete that account either because of marketing purposes, so she handed it over to her management team.
She tweeted, “Anyone’s happier when they’re not being verbally abused all day long.”
Iggy did state that she would tweet on the social networking site every so often. Fans would be able to distinguish her tweets from that of her management by adding the initials “IA” at the end.

Azalea has reportedly had enough of the internet. She called it the “ugliest reflection of mankind there is,” reports the Inquisitr. Azalea had enough of people doubting her rapping abilities and trashing her famous assets on social media sites.
Some would say that Iggy Azalea now has one more “problem” with social media. What do you think of her recent announcement that she’s quitting Instagram?
