Lisa Vanderpump Defends Her Decision To Not Follow ‘RHOBH’ Fans On Twitter
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump has been on reality television for years, and she knows that her fans are heavily invested in what is going on. Some people don’t hold back, and they will use social media to spew their hate and opinions onto these stars without really thinking twice. While Twitter is an open forum for these opinions, reality stars such as Lisa can keep hurtful opinions at a distance by not following viewers on social media.
This weekend, Lisa Vanderpump revealed that she doesn’t follow her fans on Twitter. By following someone on Twitter who follows you back, you are activating the possibility of private messaging. And this could be why many celebrities are not willing to follow people they don’t know. But as for Lisa, it seems like the decision is one of convenience.
According to a new tweet, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump is now revealing her reason behind not following her fans back on Twitter. And it is not because Vanderpump isn’t thankful for the everlasting support of her fans. The whole thing started when one person discovered that Vanderpump had unfollowed her.
“I’ll always be a fan of Lisa Vanderpump I just guess she doesn’t have time for fans. It was nice having you follow me for a while,” one person wrote on Twitter, tagging Lisa in the tweet.
But Vanderpump didn’t have to explain her reasoning for unfollowing a person. One person revealed that Lisa doesn’t actually follow her fans back, even though she adores the support from her Real Housewives and Vanderpump Rules fans. The reason for the unfollow? Lisa Vanderpump apparently wants to follow a few people rather than a lot, so she can see what is happening on Twitter.
“I do,” Vanderpump explains about loving her fans, adding, “that is why I don’t follow loads otherwise I wouldn’t see anything.”
Of course, one can imagine that Vanderpump doesn’t want private messages from people, telling her to make peace with Brandi Glanville. According to the Inquisitr, Lisa has already faced accusations of being a bully.
It is very possible that Lisa Vanderpump simply wants to be able to spot what is happening on Twitter and not miss a beat. This week, Lisa will be speaking at the UN’s Ebola event and concert, where she will address Africa’s survivors.
Are you surprised that Lisa Vanderpump doesn’t follow her fans on Twitter?
