Kandi Burruss Blasted For Not Backing Phaedra Parks When Confronted By Kenya Moore And Cynthia Bailey Over ‘Mr. Chocolate’
Some people apparently don’t think that Kandi Burruss is a true friend to Phaedra Parks. As the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired on Sunday night, Kandi was heavily criticized on social media for not doing enough to help Phaedra when she was confronted with the rumor that she was cheating on Apollo Nida with a “Mr. Chocolate.”
In the latest episode, during a group gathering, Cynthia Bailey brought up that Apollo told her husband, Peter Thomas, that Phaedra was cheating on him with an African man nicknamed “Mr. Chocolate.” Not surprisingly, Phaedra did not react to the accusation well. Phaedra told Cynthia that no such thing was happening and that Apollo was just lying again, just as he lied about the whole texting situation with Kenya Moore.
The situation quickly escalated into a heated argument between Phaedra and Kenya. When Kenya accused Phaedra of doing what Apollo claimed, Phaedra jumped up out of her seat and held up her purse as if she was about to attack Kenya. Yet Phaedra stopped herself from actually getting physical and left the table.
During the exchange at the table, Kandi was silent the entire time except for when Phaedra jumped up. “Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Kandi said, as the other women also made noises.
Some people didn’t think that was enough and made sure to tell Kandi via social media. In response, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star posted several tweets to defend herself.
She first wondered what else she was supposed to do.
I was on the other side of the table. Was I suppose to jump across the table to stop it??? SMH… #RHOA

She then wrote that she definitely wasn’t holding Phaedra back.
I don't know how I all of a sudden became the enemy. But ok… And let's be clear. Phaedra stopped herself. Nobody was holding her back.

Kandi Burruss also pointed out that there was no need for her to get involved in the drama since Phaedra Parks wasn’t really going to attack Kenya Moore.
I didn't have to stop her.Phaedra just jumped up. She wasn't really gonna hit Kenya & Kenya didn't move out her seat. So miss me with the bs

Some people still weren’t convinced. One person wrote told Kandi that she “should’ve checked Kenya” and that Phaedra “doesn’t deserve that.”
Another person wrote that Kandi should have stopped Cynthia right from the beginning.
@Kandi even still your coming off as not supportive and two faced. Like that's your friend. You should have shut Cynthia down period

The Atlanta housewives’ drama continued even when they all stood outside of the restaurant. As Kandi continued to remain silent, NeNe Leakes criticized Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore for behaving in such a way towards Phaedra.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live, NeNe explained who “Mr. Chocolate” may actually be.
Yet in Kandi Burruss’ defense, as Phaedra was leaving in Porsha Williams’ car, Kandi told Phaedra, “Bye hon.” When Phaedra said that Kenya was about to “get her a** beat,” Kandi reminded her with a smile that she “can’t let them get [her] there.”
