NeNe Leakes Doesn’t Want To Abandon ‘RHOA’ And Declined Having Own Show, Goes After Giuliana Rancic For Zendaya Comment
It seems that NeNe Leakes will continue on with The Real Housewives of Atlanta, if not as a starring housewife then at least as a recurring housewife, and at least for another season. In an interview with BuzzFeed, the reality TV star said that she doesn’t want to leave the show just yet. She even revealed that she declined her own show because she didn’t want to leave the Housewives format.
“When you do a show by yourself, that’s a lot of pressure. You are the entertainment. I’ve been offered my own show. [But] I don’t want the pressure. You need people around you to balance off of and play off of. Housewives is an amazing platform. We have millions of viewers. I’m known from that show. I started there. I can’t say that I will remain full time all the time. I feel like I always want to be able to play. I always want to see the show do well. So, in order for the show to do well, I feel like I can’t… I don’t want to abandon the show. When the time comes for me to totally step away, I’m sure I will. I just don’t know when.”
Perhaps NeNe Leakes talked to her friend-turned-enemy-turned-friend-again, Kim Zolciak, regarding her experience with having a spin-off show? Kim, who was on Real Housewives with NeNe from the very first season, quit midway through the fifth season. She currently stars on her own spin-off show, focused on her family, named Don’t Be Tardy….
There have been numerous reports that NeNe wasn’t going to come back to Real Housewives, either of her own accord or because producers no longer wanted her, only for her to return time and time again. NeNe recently addressed, via Twitter, the rumor that the current season 7 will be her last. She agreed with the fan that there’s always a rumor about her future on the show.

As an Atlanta housewife, NeNe certainly doesn’t have a problem with criticizing her enemies and supporting her friends among the cast. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, NeNe publicly supported Phaedra Parks after her estranged husband, Apollo Nida, accused her of having an affair with a “Chocolate” in the latest episode. NeNe said that Phaedra has a female friend nicknamed “White Chocolate” and that she could have been the person that Phaedra was texting.
However, would NeNe still stay on The Real Housewives of Atlanta if offered the high-profile job of being a host on Fashion Police? According to Us Magazine, NeNe’s name has been brought up as a possible replacement for Kelly Osbourne. Kelly suddenly quit the show on Friday amid the controversy regarding Giuliana Rancic’s comment about Zendaya’s hair at the Oscars.
If NeNe Leakes does actually join Fashion Police, she may have lots of conflict with Giuliana Rancic. On Tuesday morning, NeNe made clear that she has a problem with Giuliana by retweeting a person’s tweet that Giuliana is classless.
