‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: A Rick Grimes Romance And New Characters Coming Soon

The Walking Dead fans better get ready for a few new faces and a potential love story. Big changes are in store for Rick Grimes and his crew, and some of these changes might be just what the survivors need after enduring so much loss and heartbreak. Before you read on, be forewarned that major spoilers lie ahead.

According to the Spoiling Dead Fans, The Walking Dead will be introducing a new face this week, and it will likely be comic book character Aaron. Aaron is a recruiter for the Alexandria Safe-Zone, and he comes across Rick Grimes’ exhausted group while they’re on their way to Washington, D.C. However, he doesn’t approach the survivors at first — instead he plays fairy zombie godmother by leaving them a very precious gift.

According to Fansided, a leaked video from this week’s episode of The Walking Dead (“Them”) shows the thirsty survivors discovering a case of water. It’s accompanied by a message that reads, “From a friend.” That “friend” will likely turn out to be Aaron, and as the Inquisitr previously reported, he’ll likely be played by actor Ross Marquand. Aaron won’t tell Rick Grimes’ group about the Alexandria Safe-Zone until he’s sure that they are worth recruiting, and he might not come face-to-face with them until next week’s episode (“The Distance”).

If the water-toting savior of the survivors is Aaron, he’ll be the first gay male character introduced on the show. He’ll also be responsible for leading Rick to a potential love interest, an Alexandria Safe-Zone resident played by American Horror Story: Murder House actress Alexandra Breckenridge. According to Frontiers Media, she’ll make her first appearance in episode 12 of The Walking Dead. It’s titled “Remember,” and it will air on March 1.

A recent SFX magazine article describes a scene between Rick and Alexandra’s character.

“Rick, who’s shed the beard he’s grown these last few years, talks with a young blonde-haired woman in the middle of the empty street. There’s a sense of familiarity and what almost seems like an attraction between the two. But their discussion grows serious, and she shakes her head at him. As Rick walks away, she looks after him, pity in her eyes…”

This week’s episode of The Walking Dead probably won’t feature much romance, and Rick Grimes’ beard will still be intact. According to the Spoiling Dead Fans, Daryl Dixon will do one of the most unattractive things possible by eating a worm, and Sasha will entertain herself by kicking some dead frogs in a dried-up river. Later she’ll protect the group by shooting four feral dogs that are about to attack, and the group will enjoy a little puppy chow. Daryl Dixon will have a good cry after wandering off by himself, and Father Gabriel will throw his priest collar into the group’s campfire.
