Vince Vaughn Talks About Paparazzi Attention While Dating Jennifer Aniston
It’s been years since Vince Vaughn was living the single life, as many of his characters do. These days, Vaughn is married with two children, but that wasn’t always the case. The Wedding Crashers star dated a bevy of stars, but none that were as high profile as his Break Up co-star Jennifer Aniston.
Back when the pair dated, it was Aniston’s first high-profile relationship since splitting from ex-husband Brad Pitt. Years later, people are still running with the monotonous soap opera love triangle that is Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer Aniston. Back when Vaughn and Aniston dated, it was still very fresh, and something that the actor said he had to get used to.
Speaking with Playboy, the True Detective star only had the best things to say about his former flame.
“You know, she’s great,” Vaughn said.
The only struggle he seemed to have was with the paparazzi who followed Jen and Vince around throughout their promotional trail and beyond.
“For me personally — and I think most well-known actors who are together feel this way — I never enjoyed the paparazzi side of it. You like someone and you’re spending time with them; that’s separate and that was all fine. But I really spent most of that time finding ways not to be drawn into the attention.”

The couple split after spending a little more than a year together, and then Vaughn went back to the bachelor life. So what changed for him when he met his wife, Kyla Webber? Well, apparently it was all about timing and maturity.
“I waited until I was a little older, and I’m glad. I just hadn’t matured in that area. A lot of people think, ‘Oh, I’ve got to focus on my career.’ And then you wake up and go, ‘Oh goodness, I forgot about the rest of my life.’ Marriage is terrific, but it’s the hardest thing I think you’ll ever do. You have to really work at it and want it.”
Not only is Vince in a happier place, but so is Jennifer Aniston. The star just received a ton of critical acclaim for her role in the film Cake, and she’s currently happy and engaged to actor and writer Justin Theroux. As for the melodramatic triangle? She’s on good terms with ex Brad Pitt.
