A new acquisition will form what’s being billed as the “world’s largest independent social media marketing” company.
Social Media Group has bought out Livingston Communications for an undisclosed amount. Both companies work to help businesses understand and maximize social networking from a marketing perspective.
“Now I get to do what I like, and pass the bills, HR matters and computer problems to [them],” Livingston CEO Geoff Livingston explains in his blog entitled “Top 10 Reasons Why I Sold Out.”
Livingston will become executive VP of SMG’s American operations, heading up the company’s Washington, D.C. offices. The newly merged organization will also keep its offices in Toronto and Calgary, Canada. The deal is expected to be finalized next month.
