British Father Arrested In Beating Death Of Pedophile He Caught Filming His Daughter

A British father has been arrested in Spain after he allegedly attacked and killed a German man who was video recording his young daughter, the Mirror is reporting.

Forty-year-old Kainth Davinder was having dinner with his daughter at an upscale restaurant in the popular Spanish tourist destination of Sotogrande, when he noticed another man recording his (Davinder’s) young daughter with his tablet.

The other man, a German identified as Sandro Rottman, had just been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography days before, although whether Davinder knew that is unclear as of this post.

Davinder had asked the German, on several occasions, to stop filming his young daughter, who is thought to be around age 8. When he persisted, Davinder attacked the German.

A spokesperson for Spain’s Civil Guard (a sort-of military force charged with law enforcement) describes the situation.

“The discussion apparently began because of alleged recordings that the victim was making of the aggressor’s daughter. When he (Davinder) saw what was happening he took the tablet off him, saw the recordings, threw the device to the ground and attacked him. The victim had been arrested by the Civil Guard a few days ago for possession of child pornography.”

The German man later died of his injuries in a hospital, according to the Huffington Post.

Davinder left the restaurant and was arrested later after witnesses identified him.

Davinder is currently facing a minimum of 10 to 15 years imprisonment for murder. Spanish homicide law does seem to allow for certain mitigating factors, such as self-defense, or defense of another person, as a defense against a murder charge.

This is not the first time a pedophile has been killed as a result of vigilante justice. In 2012, according to this Inquisitr report, an unnamed Texas man killed a farm hand who was raping his daughter. A jury refused to indict him, and he was cleared of all charges.

As for Mr. Davinder, the British government is aware of his situation, and has promised to provide whatever assistance they can. A spokesperson for the Foreign Office explained that his or her agency wants to do what they can.

“We are urgently investigating reports of the arrest of a British national in the Cadiz area in southern Spain. We stand ready to provide consular assistance if requested.”
