Bobbi Kristina Brown Battled Drugs, Drinking, Depression: Whitney Houston‘s Secret Will Revealed [Video]
The latest news on Bobbi Kristina Brown is grim in terms of her prognosis. And equally tragic are the revelations about her emotional pain prior to her current hospitalization. From drug use to depression, new facts are emerging that show a young woman torn by the tragedy of losing her mother, Whitney Houston, reported the Daily Beast.
And despite the days that have passed since she was discovered lying unconscious in a bathtub, the facts about what led to her dangerous state remain unknown. What is known is that the family feels haunted by the fact that Bobbi Kristina’s own mother, Whitney Houston, died after being found in precisely the same way.
At only 21, Bobbi Kristina Brown had a history of drug use. She reportedly got high immediately after her mother’s funeral, and some reports indicate that she and Whitney shared the same drug dealer.
In addition, she began using alcohol to medicate herself in her teens, with the reality TV show Houstons: On Our Own openly showing her drinking.
But beyond the drugs and drinking, Bobbi Kristina Brown exhibited signs of severe depression, according to Extra.
In a text to a friend sent just before she was found, the 21-year-old poured out her heartbreak.
“[The loss of Whitney Houston is a] pain like your heart has been ripped out of your chest,” wrote Bobbi Kristina.
“She was and is my everything ma’am. And if you don’t think I don’t know [what] an ounce of HURT anguish and pain is, you are preaching to the wrong women [sic], because I’ve lves [sic] in the public eye since I was born.”
Now Bobbi Kristina lies in a coma, with family, friends, and fans praying that she will recover. Among them, as the Inquisitr reported, is Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy Houston.
Cissy hopes to reach her granddaughter through what she believes is the power and miracle of music, said a source. Like Bobby Brown, Cissy does not want to give up hope. And so they sing softly and lovingly to the young woman, hoping that she can somehow be reached and fight the biggest battle of her life.
But amid the open questions about what led to this fight for life, new details have emerged of a secret clause in Whitney Houston‘s will, according to Radar Online.
In her 1993 Last Will & Testament, Houston specifies that if Bobbi Kristina did not survive her, Cissy Houston and other family members would survive her millions. That clause adds more emphasis to a previous warning by Bobbi Kristina Brown’s aunt about what she saw as the young woman’s dangerous situation.
As the Inquisitr reported, in 2012, Bobby Brown’s sister, Leolah Brown, claimed that Whitney Houston’s death was not an accident and also foreshadowed danger for Bobbi Kristina in an interview.
“I am concerned about my niece Bobbi Kristina. Krissy is not safe right now. I want to say to Krissy that it’s very, very, very important that she does not trust anybody at this time. Anybody except her father, her grandmother Cissy and myself. And I mean that.”
